Hcg and 2ww..please help..

It's 10 months my dh and I are ttc.I'm 38 and have just gone to see an RE for the first time about a month ago. I've checked my thiroid, had ultrasound, checked my fallopian tubes and I think LH level.I also started using the clearblue digital opk and always get a smiley face which means I get the surge.Nothing for now seems wrong...but I'm not getting pregnant. I just took two Merional 150 IU IM shots that contain FSH and LH on the 23rd and 24th of May and a Choriomon 5000 IU IM shot ( that contains HCG) on the 25th of May.On the 23 and 24 I had pretty bad cramping and after the HCG shot...well...I really had something going; nausea, super dizzy, some diarrea (one or 2 days happening once a day), super lower back ache ( which I never have felt before),moody, irritable, extremely tired and tender breasts. All this went on for about 6 days, up until the 31st I think and then the symptoms started fading gradually. The other night I had like a really hot flush and was sweating and felt some pms...I never check my bbt but I noticed that during the day say it's 96.9/97 then goes up to maybe to 98.2 or 98.6 (like the other night)during the evening- tonight it's  98.4 for example.  ...I've always had really low body temp..so my question is the following; considering that I never felt such symptoms after ovulation (I thin I'm supposed to check on the 8th of June)...could they be due to the HCG shot, and if yes, could you please explain?I read about it being the same hormone as in pregnancy and that the symptoms are given by the progesterone that is triggered by the HCG...but honestly, I'm confused and need medical advice. I'm really hoping I'm pregnant but...I haven't got a clue and this whole thing is soooo difficult...Thank you..

Hi!
The hormones that you are using are really "strong" and it is quite possible that you have produced more than one follicle this cycle.  PMS symptoms are associated with ovulation, and higher progesterone levels.  This all bodes well.  If you are pregnant, the Clear Blue First Response test may show a positive value by cycle day 24 or so (up to 5 days before the expected period).  You can test anytime after that, although I usually recommend waiting until the period is actually late.
All of the symptoms sound good, which suggests that you are on the right track.
Good luck!

Thank you so much for answering back..it's been very helpful! In fact I produced 2 follicles..I don't know If I can find the test here ( cause the clearblue I had I bought was bought abroad - I am now living in Saudi Arabia for work reasons) I'm testing on the 7th or 8th of June and will let you know the results.Thank you so much once again!
