implanatation cramping

On 5/25 i was having cramping like my cycle wanted to come down. The next day i felt my body was ovulating due to severe mittelschemerz. 5/27 I took an opk and it was positive for ovulation. On 5/48 until 6/2 i have been cramping like my cycle wanted to come down and it's not due until 6/10. I kept running to the restroom constantly checking to see if my cycle was ablut to arrive. Later that night on 6/2 my breast started to become tender and  was very restless. The next day when I got off from work my breast hurt so bad I was crying, husband gave me a pain pill and stayed up until I went to sleep. Yesterday and today it still exhibiting severe pain. My mother called and I told her what was going on she asked when my cycle was due and I told her. She told me that I probably having implanatation cramping it feels just like you're having menstrual cramps. She told me that when I was pregnant the last time I was complaining about the same thing. I told her I doubt I'm pregnant because both my husband and myself were sick. Does implanatation cramping and menstrual cramping feels the same and when does implanation cramping occur? Thank you.

I am not certain if your pain you are describing is breast or lower abdominal pain. Implantation generally is not painful or crampy - remember that at the time of implantation the embryo is microscopic. As far as determining whether or not you are pregnant, only time will tell - if you are a couple of days late for your expected period, you should do a pregnancy test. If your pain persists, you should follow up with your doctor - mild crampiness midcycle at ovulation is pretty common, but it is not common to be kept awake and need pain pills for pain. That should be looked into if it persists.
