Dear Cheen - Metformin does not often completely normalize periods, although it does make them more regular. The regularity that you experienced Feb-Apr is a bit unusual. I am usually happy if metformin changes someone from a 'no-period' person to periods every 35-45 days.

I do not think the PMS medicine is playing a role.

One approach would be to have your doctor test your blood for a hormone called progesterone. This will tell you whether or not you ovulated or not this month. If you have ovulated, hopefully you will get pregnant. If you have not ovulated, then you should continue the metformin but your doctor can add clomiphene.

Good luck!
