Qvulation questions! Help!

Okay, so I have been trying to conceive for months now with no luck. I have charting and using my cervical mucus as a guideline. This Monday I had my peak cervical mucus and assumed this was the day I was ovulating. We attempted intercourse but were interrupted, so we had to settle for Tuesday morning. I still had fertile CM but not as heavy as on Monday. My questions are as follows.

1. based on CM, when you hit a peak in your mucus, would this be the day you ovulate or the day before? I have heard conflicting answers and would really like to know!

2. If I did Ovulate on Monday, and we did something Tuesday morning is there still a chance I could conceive??

We plan on buying some Ovulation Predictor Kits next month if it didn't work this month but I am driving myself crazy with all this confusion!

Thank you sooo much for any information!

Thanks for your input, it helps me feel better about the chance!

We both take multi vitamins on a regular basis and I bought some of that V8 Fusion with the full serving of veggies and fruit to drink on top of a reg. diet just to give my body a boost!

I will definitely pick up some OPKs for the next cycle if it didn't work this month. This whole ovulation thing can still be confusing despite all the information I have. I think it's one of those things that is almost impossible to completely be accurate on without OPKs.

But I am still hoping!!! And maybe with the answers I get here I can help put my mind at ease or get some tips for next time around. Thank you soooo much for your help!

You are supposed to be fertile 24-36 hours after ovulation, so if you ovulated Monday, you would have still been able to conceive on Tuesday.

I personally strongly recommend OPK. I tried to figure my body out for 14 months while ttc and the month I finally gave in and bought OPK, I got pg and realized that I was ovulating a couple of days later than my body seemed to be telling me. I got my positive OPK and we bd the next several days and found out 12 days later that we had a baby on the way. A couple of other things I recommend are getting your fruits and veggies in each day, take a multi-vitamin (either a prenatal, two flinstone vitamins, or something) because this actually increases fertility, and try to relax/pamper yourself. To increase the odds of conceiving, make sure you O before him or silmultaneous to him during bd. I always thought it would work the other way, but apparently you first or silmultaneous to him increases the odds. The month that we implemented all of this, we conceived. Try to get him to take folic acid and make sure your vitamin includes it as well. It makes the sperm healthier and gives the fertilized egg a better chance.

Best wishes!

I am so sorry! I meant would it be the day of peak cm or the day AFTER! I don't know how I managed to write before. Anyway, yes I meant:

1. based on CM, when you hit a peak in your mucus, would this be the day you ovulate or the day AFTER? I have heard conflicting answers and would really like to know!

And Tameka, thank you I hope you're right!

hi , from my understanding you should ovulate a day or two after you first notice the EWCM. I hope this helps
