If you were my patient, I would test your prolactin level and your thyroid levels. If those are normal, then my next tests would be LH and FSH. The fact that you didn't have a withdrawl bleed after taking the Provera suggests that your estrogen levels are low. That is typically caused by problems with your pituitary, thyroid OR hypothalamus. If it is pituitary or thyroid it is pretty easy to treat. If it is hypothalamic, then your doctor will need to figure out whether it is PCOS or whether it is related to something else such as too much exercise or too little body fat. The typical treatment for hypothalamic amenorrhea ( no periods ) is birth control pills--they will give you a monthly cycle and keep your bones stong and healthy. When it comes time for you to have a family, it may be necessary to consult a fertility specialist, or sometimes things sort out all by themselves.

I have been having the same problem since april 2009 no normal period did alot of tests everything is ok i have also hit a wall.
I totally understand what you are going thru. I have been on this no period roller-coaster for a while now. I have been thru it all the preg test the ultrasounds and everything. Have you had all your hormones tested?
