17mm- Day Cycle 9

I am new here..Hello to everybody!

Today it's my day cycle 9 ..I went to the Doctor, and he told I have 3 follicles..2 are very small doesn't count..
..Another one on my left side-17mm.. I asked him what is going to happen next.. He said I will need to do another ultrasound a day after tommorow to size the main follicle on my left side..17mm..And probably he needs to trigger my egg on monday..Doesn't the follicle grows 2mm per day?? If so, by the time he triggers my egg.. I am afraid it's going to be too late..No? What should I do?? Help me ..

Hi Vana! Happy Valentine's Day to you, too! Sorry about all the bruises...but it will all be worth it when you get your BFP!

I'm doing OK. I'm already past ovulation this month, so just wanting...

Hopefully this will be a lucky month for both of us!

Well, if they still want you to wait after your ultrasound tomorrow, you could always buy a pack of OPKs (ovulation tests) and test over the weekend to make sure you don't surge on your own before Monday. Or you could ask if you could do the trigger at home on Sunday instead of waiting till Monday. Good luck tomorrow! I'd love to hear how things go!

You're right. The follicles tend to grow about 2 mm a day once you get closer to ovulation. I would think you're ready to trigger at your next ultrasound (Saturday). Are you doing an IUI? Maybe your doctor meant to trigger on Saturday night and have the IUI on Monday morning (about 36 hours after trigger).
