Thats exciting.  DH and I went for our class on Monday and I picked up all my meds for IVF.  I am expecting my AF on 5/15.  Agini had a great post with tips on eating etc.  Unfortunately I am 39 years of age.  I am doing accupuncture right now

bree08- Thanks for the well wishes. I have also heard that about the pineapple. I read it needs to be fresh and to eat the core. I have never heard that about the socks. That's going to be hard for me to do with my IVF occuring in the summer. But, I will try anything.

michiganbaby- What time of day did you have take your meds? Monrning? Night?

rxyrxx919- We should stay in touch!

Congrats on starting IVF. Age is definitely a huge plus for you. My cousin and I both did IVF 2 weeks apart (I am 25 and she is 28) and we both got BFP's on the first cycle. She is even having twins. Another thing is to make sure you stay on your meds at all times and take them exactly when you are supposed too. Make sure you take it easy so you don't get ovarian torsion or hyperstimulation.  I did experience some hyperstimulation after my ET, but it was also due to my hormones because of the embryo attaching. Other than that just enjoy it and stay positive. It really does help. I wish you the best of luck!

I just wanted to say Good Luck! I've never done IVF but it maybe in my future so I've read up on it a little bit. I know that this stuff may not actually work but I've read some women eat fresh pineapple during the cycle and also after the trasfer they wear socks to keep the feet warm. I dont know if any of this helps, but I did read this and I found it pretty interesting : ) Good LUCK

40smama- I agree. I do have my age working for me. RE says, "ovaries great, uterus great.... it's what's inbetween..." I had considered acupunture a couple cycles ago, but then I got a BFP. Sadly, I MC. I think I will look into that again.

sja786- So, I guess my question is then... what should I be or not be eating? Any things to really stick to or stay away from?

Age factor is one imp thing ,younger the age ,higher the success rate .
try to maintain good eating habits ,do some physical activities ,and most imp be positive .

Your age is going to work for you BIG TIME!!  I guess my big secret is that I used donor eggs (from a 22 year old) since I was an older mommy (44 at the time) - egg quality makes the biggest difference in whether a IVF cycle is successful or not.  Actually I learned that fact from the experts on the ask-an-expert forum.

A lot of ladies here have done acupuncture - have you considered doing that?  It seems to really help!  I hope you get your BFP!!  Let us know how things go - jen
