Advice Re OPK's / LH Test Please!

Hi Ladies.  I just have a quick question and would appreciate some input from anyone who has experience with this.

My DH works out of town.  He can come home for only one night this week.  I will definitely be Oing in the next couple of days.  My LH (OPK) test strip is getting darker and darker, and I assume I will be getting a positive shortly - probably later on today.

My question is:  If I get a +OPK later on today which would mean that I will be ovulating within 24-36 hours, when do you think I should be telling DH to get his butt home to BD?  He can either come home tonight or tomorrow night, but not both.

Advice greatly appreciated.  This is my first cycle after having ovarian adhesions removed and I'm anxious to give it a whirl!

Is getting pregnant supposed to be this stressful?

Gigi

OK - DH is on his  way home from his out of town job.  It's gonna be tonight and then again tomorrow morning, and then my poor stud can head back out to work.

I  feel bad asking him to come into town just for that, but really, what other choice do I have?

Hey girl-I would say tonight AND tomorrow.  Shouldnt be in issue to do back to back since there is no problem with DH swimmers.  I am hoping for your BFP this month!!!!!

Forgot to mention that my Doc says it takes about 2 hours for them to get there (with normal swimmers) so again I'd say tonight & give everyone a head start in the race. Pretty much doing the same thing tonight. Expect I'll surge tomorrow. Time to get busy. LOL.

My RE changes his mind every month that it doesn't work, lol. Last month I was told to BD 2 nights before O, and day of O. This month he instructed to BD the day of O and the day after, I guess in hopes to catch that egg after realease. Who knows??? I am always so confused, we just BD as much as we can that whole week, maybe that's our problem?!!! If I was you I would prob BD tonight, double header not a bad idea, if nothing else, that would make it interesting;-) and then again in a.m. if you can.  SSBD!!!! Best wishes!

My RE said to BD right before O. So hopefully your DH can come home tonight! Then you can be covered for both days!  Good luck!

Gonna call DH and see if he can come home tonight instead of tomorrow night.  I think it would be best to have my bases covered.

Thanks Usuk.  I am currently seeing two doctors who have given me conflicting advice on when to BD.  One says that since sperm will live for 5 days we should BD every other day starting at 5 days before I think i am gonna O.  The other doc (my RE) says to BD just immediately around O.

No wonder i am so confused.  Not even the docs agree.

Maybe I should ask him to come home tonight and have a double header LOL!

Tough call. The swimmers should live for 72 hours. But the egg only like 8-10 right??? My doc likes the sperm there for when the egg drops. Could you BD tonight and tomorrow am?
