4 Misscarriages No period after the last

I have had 4 miscarriages and with all but the last i passed the tissue on my own. With the last one i could not pass it and had to have a D&C and that was Jan.30th now it is March 9th and I still have not had a period. I only spotted for two days after the D&C (no heavy bleeding). Why so long after surgery would I not have had a period. Is something bad wrong. My doctor seems worried and ordered blood test but I still would like to know what are the possabilities that could be wrong.

I'm sorry for your losses. I myself have had many losses. One resulted in a d and e and then a d and c from complications and then medication from complications from the d and c. It took about 5 mos for my body and cycle to get back on track. Most of the time it takes a few mos to regulate especially after a d and c. I would wait and see what happens this month and if nothing give your dr a call and get checked out. I would req a u/s to make sure they got everything. You don't want to run the risk of an infection etc. Unfortuneately at this point it really is the waiting game. I'm sorry you are dealing with this. I hope you feel better soon....If you need to talk I'm here.....

I'm kinda in the same boat.  My D&C was February 6th and as of today, March 10th still no period!  I called and talked to the RE who said technically it's been only 32 days so it's probably on it's way.  My Re also followed my HCG down to zero each week and it just hit the zero mark last Friday.
Did your RE check your beta HCG at all afterwards?
I also had this same problem om 2007 but it turned out I was pregnant!  So like Tina said, that could also be the reason :-)

The main thing the blood test will show is if there is Hcg in your blood. If there is there are 2 possibilities. One is that you have conceived again. Many women do get pg right after a d&c, b4 they get their 1st period. I o'd about 17 days after my d&c.  Another possibilty is that the d&c was incomplete. If that is the case, they may need to repeat the procedure. However, I would strongly urge not repeating the d&c without 1st having an u/s as it is very possible it could be a new pregnancy and not remains from the 1st.

They will also check estrogen/progesterone and a few others to see if there may be a hormonal imbalance.
