hello my name is Tee and Ive been going through this too ..it's awful bc every little twinge I feel makes me trip out and I've had mild nausea... im now 8dp6dt on FET and this is our 2nd time trying IVF..when I was 21 I thought I was getting my tubes just tied bc I had children young but the Dr. I went to removed my fimbriae which until this year 20yrs later I never knew about ...I was told we could always reverse the tubaligation BUT now I have a medical malpractice suit on the Dr. who did this!!! My God I went for the reversal and my new Dr said he couldn't believe or understand why the other Dr. would do such a thing to me and I NEVER knew about it!!! if it wasn't for us wanting reversal I would have gone without ever knowing what he did to me....I'm so upset bc my hubby has no kids and I want to give him some very badly...this hurts to have to go through...other than that my Doc says I'm perfectly healthy please help with advice someone?!!!

As you have been so helpful to me, could I please  give you my run down to see if its the same....or similar ??

ive had to take baby asprin everyday -  from the 1st day of period.
from 1st day of period for 7 days only I was to take doryx 100mg - twice a day.
day 12  which tomorrow I go for ultrasound & blood test.
then I take the trigger shot 5000iu - when they tell me.
day after trigger i take prednisolone 25mg at night for 3 nights only. & doryx 100mg twice a day for 3 days only.
then go for transfer which I think will be either next Friday or Saturday.
& that seems to be it....... except i continue taking asprin everyday until 34 wks pregnant.

I really thank you for my help! Its so lovely that you stay on this site to help others out ........ ....... youre such a lovely lady!

thank you so much for telling me your story, It helps so much to hear there are ppl like me out there!!! with my protocol, they are not going to use the estrogene or progesterone because they feel I have more than enough in my body! but im a little upset about that, because I feel that they should just give me the whole thing!! not take bits and pieces off......if you know what I mean???  I am taking 50 units of injections everyday, then I have 5000iu for trigger shot, then 3 1500 trigger shots during the 2 ww.... Im not sure if things work differently in America??
I hope you are feeling well! and wish you lots of luck xx

Candy - just read more of your story.  Sounds SO similar to ours.  I also hyperstimmed the first time we did IVF.  It was HORRIBLY painful.  My ovaries, which are "normally the size of walnuts" swelled up to the size of lemons.  Sounds like what you went through.  They did a transfer that cycle anyway.  Didn't work.  Two months later, we did our frozen cycle.  Only had one little embryo survive the freeze/thaw process.  And he miraculously took and now we're 25 weeks pregnant!  Our doctor routinely puts every woman on the baby aspiring/antibiotic/prednisolone protocol after every transfer.  And also, we did estrogen and progesterone in oil injections for the first 10 weeks of the pregnancy.  I think that both of those things helped quite a bit for this one to "stick."

Don't lose hope!  There IS hope!!!

Hi, that's very interesting stuff, thank you.  Sounds like we are in a very similar situation.  I have had three early miscarriages now, the first two were conceived naturally with an ex partner some time ago and then me and my hb have been ttc for 3 years with no joy (we have unexplained both fine) that's when we decided to go with the IVF. I really thought it was our time in March when we got a bfp with IVF then miscarried again..
After this we decided to have recurrent miscarriage tests done and they have found that I have got natural killer cells and I have been on prednisolne  to help my body accept the embryos.
Unfortunately it looks like this time they just didn't implant:(  Got no more frozen ones left so will have to go for a whole new cycle again...
I would be really intrigued to see how you get on, as colorado looks like the protocol that i should be on.
Sending you loads of best wishes, really hope it works out for you!!
Let me know how you get on xxxxxxxx

hi there,
i was in the stage of having a break, until I decided to have another go.  This time I am using a protocol called the colorado - it includes baby asprin and a antibiotic called doxcycline 100mg - & then prednisolone which is taken after the hcg trigger  and apparently what it is supposed to do , is prepare the body not to see the embroyos as foreign objects........maybe look into it......if you want more info just let me know, il give you the run down of what I have to do, and you can let your doctor know..... its had a high success rate with women whom miscarry very early on..........so for people like us, where nothing seems to be wrong - who knows maybe our bodies arent accepting the embroyos maybe this could work......... i will let you know if it works for me.... im on day 8 of cycle.......wont be getting embroyos put in until day 20 - then the 2ww....rrrr so annoying!!  Taking a break is good - take some time out for yourself - try to relax, and do things for yourself, and then just go for it, with the understanding that it doesnt always work the first time......... rrr so annoying for us......this is my 3rd go- hopefully 3 times lucky.... Goodluck!

Hi Thanks for the info appreciate it.  Well I have sort of come to terms with it being a BFN now, have done around four hpt and all negative :(
Didn't have a hcg trigger this time so looking like the tests that I did were accurate...Go back to the clinic on Tuesday, so will get confirmation then.
Me and dhb have discussed it today and going have a three month break and then have another go, so hopefully third time lucky!!
All these brave Ladies that keep trying just give me so much hope!!
Hope you are ok, are you having another go??
Thanks again xxxx

Hi there stay in there, they say feeling no symptoms isn't such a bad thing as normal pregnant women don't feel anything until 6 weeks. Unfortunately I can't give you the better vice with this as I got a bfn, but I do know a Lot about testing early and I would recommend you do not do so, however I found out something interesting about that. If you have Had a trigger shot for ivf..... Pls read below.... I really hope this helps, and don't give up, good luck wishing u lots of baby dust

. How long does it take synthetic hCG (trigger shot) to leave my body
before I can test for pregnancy? Every woman's metabolism is different, but
as a general rule of thumb, you should allow 1 day for every 1,000 units of
hCG you injected. The standard hCG dose is 10,000 units; thus, 10 days after
the shot, the synthetic hCG should be gone and you should be able to test
for pregnancy without detecting the shot. However, you should ask your
doctor what the recommended protocol for your dosage is.

Some women choose to test daily to monitor the presence of the hCG in their
bodies; once the synthetic hCG is gone, the tests become negative. If the
hCG "comes back" and the HPT's turn positive again, it's likely due to a
pregnancy and not the leftover hormone shot.

Hope this helps xxxx

Wow, you've been through enought yourself!  When is your next transfer?  It's gotta work this time!  I just don't understand why it isn't taking either?!?!  So weird!  There are a couple of other ladies on here about your age that are having the same issues tho.  It just breaks my heard that we all have to keep going through this over and over again!
I got my transfer date, it's going to be Aug 30th!! : )

well, im 31 and have unexplained infertility, have been for every test under the sun and they say everything is perfect........ problem is ......... im not falling pregnant! So I tried iui and that didnt work, and then ivf - 1st time I overstimulated - got 21 eggs and 6 survived until day 5-6 which was good - I was sooooo sick, from overstimulation - my ovaries grew to the size of tennis balls- so they did not do the transfer - 2 mnths later they did fet of 1 embroyo only - even tho i begged for two - second time they did 2 fets but again it didnt work, and now this is my 3rd time - to which Im trying this new protocol, because they have no idea why its not working on a healthy cycle.....I am excited to try this because of the fact, that obviously something is happening in the 2 ww for me not to fall.......so if my body is seeing this as a foreign object with a bit of luck it will work!! Its so frustrating to know theres no reason at all as to why this wouldnt work........but it still has not!

You are such a strong lady to be taking the journey you are! I wish you so much luck and success...and am so happy to hear you have not given up hopes on having a child!  I feel like giving up all the time....so stories like yours make me think otherwise........ I would like to donate my eggs to my sister, whom is not producing any........but she wants me to have a family first .......... and then.........she may think about it........ she 38 now and with the legnth of time its taking me to fall pregnant ...... time is running out!!!

keep me updated on when you start!!! you'll do great!  lets get pregnant!! yayyyyy!!

It does sound similar : )   I hope and pray it works for both of us too!!  How amazing would that be?!?!?

I am actually using donor embryos ( a wonderful lady on here donated them to us, you can go to my "homepage" and read my journal named Our Next Step and get the backround)  so we will be doing a frozen cycle.

What is your game plan??

My RE  will put me on me  a medicine called medrol?  or something like that to help the body not reject  But, I have have to take the estrogen and progesterone too.  I have already been taking a baby asprin for months because of uterine surgery I had in Jan.  it is suppose to help with the blood flow to the uterus so the adhesions dont reform.

hi luv
when you decide to do the frozen transfer / ask if they can use a method called the colorado protocol.......as its had high success rates........ reason being.....
apparently its supposed to prepare the body for a foreign object to be implanted in the body..... sometimes when embroyos are put in, the body rejects them because it sees it as something to fight off......so with these drugs its supposed to dispell all of that.

most ppl would also have to use estrogen patches and progesterone / but as mine has been all above normal naturally, they are not making me use them.  Although I must say, if Im going to do the protocol Id like to try it all......... hit me with it.......if you know what I mean........ Anyway just ask about it....... they generally dont just offer it..... well in australia they dont! you have to ask!! they are very conservative here.  Goodluck!
