Some places show pics of donors as babies, which is helpful as far as the visiual.
http://www.givf.com is in Fairfax, VA. and appears to be a good medical facility. I haven't tried them, but have been reading about the facility on line. I wish other facilities would at least give you pics of donors as babies/toddlers. It is scary however to not know complete family history. This is one of the better sites though that give a lot more info. Hope it helps others.

I don't think many places will actually give you a picture, because the donor is usually local and then it totally violates the donors right to confidentiality.
But there is always the option to use a known donor but they are a lot harder to find and then they will know you as well, so it completely eliminates your annonymity. Good luck to you.
How far back do they give you the health information in the family ~ did you get pictures of not only the donor but other family members ~ ..??.. The "clinic" I go to doesn't offer pictures of the donor, etc., but said we could think about going elsewhere to get the donor eggs that they would use ~ ..??..mine is a large one in NJ ~
The proper procedure that egg brokers should be following is that you follow up with a donor. You make sure the donor agrees to follow up with any significant medical history that comes up down the line that is genetic. When we get a letter that one of the donors we used has come up with something, we first check to see if the patient became pregnant from that donor and if so we contact the donor. A good broker will do a lot of background checking and be very picky with donors. It is then up to the IVF clinic to be EVEN MORE PICKY.
PER ABC ~ Wendy Kramer ~ ask about donors ~ http://www.****.com/
Mentioned the fact that a woman who donated her eggs was diagnosed with colon cancer that is hereditary four years later....exactly why I am SO hesitant to go that route ~ you don't know if there's relatives of axe murderers or not ~ really scary ~
