Endometriosis/ IVF success

After a two year break my husband and I have decieded to try treatments again. I just relocated to AZ and will be meeting with a new DR in a few weeks. I have stage 3 endometriosis and a block tube. I did 1 round of IUI, failed and I switched DRS. Second round after lap and 6 months of Lupron ( failed).  I was thinking since my endo is moderate/severve that going straight to IVF would my greatest chance but my husband would like to try a few rounds of IUI first. I just wanted to see how many women have had a BFP with endometrisosis and IUI and how many rounds did it take?  Has anyone had success with first time IVF?  Also since my last lap was over 2 years ago would it be best to have the surgery again and then try IUI/IVF?   As many of you know this is a very stressful and emotional time for us, I am just tying to get some input before I see my new doctor.  Thanks for any opinions!!

Oh and I am healthy 30 and have not been pregnant before. My husbands sperms travels 60% the wrong way and 40% the right way:)  Not sure if that makes a difference:)

I had stage 2 endo removed last year during a diagnostic lap, and most of it was around my ovary. Neither my RE or my gyn are really concerned about this. I think whether you can contain a pregnancy depends on the severity of the endo and where it is at. LOTS of women have successful pregnancies with endo.. I have heard of successful outcomes with stage 2, 3 and even four. Keep in mind that repeated laps can create more scar tissue and cause implantation problems. I got a BFP shortly after my lap, but lost it early. Second IUI was BFN so I have decided to go on to IVF due to my age. I am in AZ also. I would ask your new RE what to do as far as getting another lap and if it is necessary.  If your husband has a 'male factor' issue with his sperm, a good RE would be able to determine if IVF with ICSI is necessary-that could also explain why you havent been pregnant and the endo may not be the cause. Good luck.

my tubes are fine. I am sure they could probably up your dosage or do something to help.

I think it is a bfp but wont know for  several more days. i am only 9 days out from iui. I will let u know as soon as i take and hpt.

My re told me that 1/4 iuis work. they cost a lot less so that is why i am continuing with them.
