Thickness of cervical lining??

Hi all!!

I used Follistim injectibles for the first time this month and I am super bloated (cd 13) which i assume is normal? RE did an ultrasound yesterday and saw 5 "juicy" follicles that should be ready for IUI Monday and Tuesday. He also said my cervical lining is looking "much better" at 11.5cm(?) instead of the 8cm i had last month. Can anyone tell me what this means?

I see...well, hopefully your lining will increase a little before you ovulate. When do you usually O?

I am on puregon and tomorrow 2 ovitrelles are scheduled.
There is no product exclusively to thick the lining.
The puregon is enhancing the lining but sometimes, that's what it is and you can not do anything about it.

me2angels: Are you on estrogen too? Maybe that will help thicken the lining.

I am on follistim cd13 the lining is 6!!!!!!!

This is caused by several D&C i had :(((((((

Oh.. one more thing...

I bloated SO bad on Follistim.  After the IUI, I bloated up from just under my boobs through my whole abdomen and my pants would barely button. I also gained about 4 lbs in 2 days, of water I assume.  I did hear that this is normal. It's just angry ovaries!

My bloating went away about 1 week post IUI.

Hi there!

I did Follistim for the first time this month too (with IUI), and my lining was exactly like yours, at 11.5.  It was really thick!  I could see on the ultrasounds it was much thicker than it had been on the clomid.

You are lucky to have only had 5 juicy follicles.  I had so many, my RE couldn't even COUNT!!!  He nearly cancelled the cycle and I'm shocked he didn't, but he tried to "nudge" a few into maturity and triggered me early.

I am now 5 weeks pregnant! I don't know how many are in there, but from my betas, it looks like only one, perhaps two.  Good luck to you!!! I hope everything goes well. Seems like you have an excellent chance this cycle!

THANK YOU for the info! I think he said there were 4 mature follies and he gave me an extra injection of something similar to Follistim (Gonal??) yesterday. I have a history of multiple follies but still no BFP. Good to hear that the lining is normal. I wasn't sure what function this plays in the whole IUI thing.

what is 5 juici follicles??? I hope the 5 aren't mature because you don't want to end up with a pregnancy of 5 embryos.

The lining should be at least 6 si 11.5 is very, very nice.
