How long after iui you can go for pregnancy test

Hi i'm new to this web site while searching something i found this . I got my first iui done on 5th feb and my doc told me to wait for 2 weeks and then go for a test, today is my 17th day after iui but in the morning when i went to the loo i saw spotting and my discharge color is light red  which is common with me bcoz i normally have spotting before my periods and my periods date is on 23rd ,today is 21st . Am really scared dnt know what to do ... so that means am not pregnant ?

Thank you so much for responding ....i've not yet taken HPT  tomorrow morning i'll take a HPT... But this spotting is now increasing, like when you get your period.... iam  confused becos its still not a normal flow ... just waiting for tomorrow morning for more clear results.

It could mean a lot of things... It could be spotting during a normal pregnancy (about a third of women spot while pregnant)... Most of us fanatics around here start testing about 9 days past, waiting to see a BFP (big fat positive on a home pregnancy test).  Have you taken an HPT yet?
