Trying to make it through the wait

I must say it is reassuring to read all of the information you have all shared.  I am 8days post transfer and I have my beta in 4 days.  This is my first IVF cycle with 3 failed iui's.  We had 3 8-cell embryos transfered on day 3.  I started reading this site because my cramps have become much worse today and I really feel like I am going to get my period any second.  I am curious if taking the progesterone shots delays actually getting your period, or if I could get it while on it.  If I knew I just had to wait until Thursday and not freak out every time I have to pee, this MIGHT be easier.

Thanks to anyone that has any insight!

I had a transfer on 10/11 and my beta is on 10/26. I took 3 hpt already- all negative. It could be too early to test but I do not have too many symptoms either. Today I feel just devastated.

Today was your beta blood test, how did it go? I pray you got good news.  I don't know why our blood tests are so spaced apart, but I guess we just have to trust our RE's.  I was wondering about the discharge too.  Mine is minimum and clear and I've only noticed it starting yesterday.  I hope anxious71 is right about it being a good sign.  Blessings to you guys with happy and healthy pregnancies :)

I am searching for information about the discharge. Should pregnant women have any? I know during the whole cycle waiting for period there are different types of discharge , but how but now after the transfer should we have any?

Faith is a wonderful thing!  I keep telling myself what is meant to be will be.  This is our only round of IVF that we can afford, so that puts a bit added pressure on the outcome.  :)  As if there isn't enough already!
My energy level is horrible!  I'm a totally on the go person, and, like you, I'm asleep by 9.  I even wake up tired!  My cramps are better today - yesterday they lasted most of the day.  I have some mild and regionalized cramping today, but nothing like yesterday, so, of course, I wonder what that means!  :)  Time will tell.  I am just surprised that your blood test is on Tuesday if you are only one day behind me!!!  I'm wondering if I'm going in too early.  We did all of this at Stanford, and my dr has been doing it forever, so I'm going to have faith that they know when they should schedule the beta.
Best of luck!!!!

Hi,
I had my 2 embries (grade 4) transferred last Tuesday (10/13) too, so I'm one day behind you.  I'm so excited and anxious for next week (Tues) to have my blood work done.  I also have been experiencing some mild cramping that comes and goes since the transfer.  Yesterday was the longest, it lasted for approx 4hrs, but it was only on the left lower pelvic region.  I think it was one of the embries burrowing in the uterus.  How's your energy level? I find myself to be exhausted for greater part of the day and I'm in bed by 8-9pm.  Will keep all of you in my prayers.  My faith is the one thing that is definitely helping me get through all of this.  Best wishes!!!

Thank you for the info!  My transfer was on the 12th and blood test will be on the 22nd - I wonder why you have to wait until the 26th until yours!!  I don't know that I would worry about not having any cramping - if you did you would worry about that!  We can find anything to worry about!!!  I am not working until this is over, and it's so hard to have extra time on my hands and not be in my normal routine.  My bbs are also sore, but they were sore before the transfer, so I take it to mean nothing.  I am also totally sick to my stomach, but I have been every time I have take any hormone - even the month I took hormones and we coudln't try, so I KNEW I couldn't be pregnant I was sick to my stomach, so that means nothing either.  All is of this is so nerve-wracking, as you know!

jlagee  -good luck tomorrow - your wait is almost over!!!!  Is the estrace for your lining?  I have had to deal with that before, and that put me over the edge emotionally.!!!

Let's hope success to us all!

Good luck on your beta tomorrow I know you will get the results that we all are looking for and that's BFP.  Keep us updated.  I go for my beta on the 26th of this month, I am now 6dpt and it feels like torture.

I have had the same - cramping on and off since my ET on 10/06.  I thought it had to be a bad thing but then I read through quite a few posts here as well.  I go for my beta tomorrow AM.  I have managed to resist the urge to take a hpt.  I have all the syptoms but am also on progesterone and estrace - which of course - the side effects are ALL pregnancy symptoms! ugghhhh!!!!

I wish both of you the best of luck!  Wish us luck!  We have been ttc for over 4 years now!

I also had a transfer of 3 8-cell embryos on day 3 , that was on 10/11 -8 days ago. I think you have at least 5-7 days until the period. What I was told that progesterone does not delay getting your period. My blood work is on 10/26 Monday. It seems like your beta is rather early. I do not have too much of cramping and that worries me. I think cramping is a good sign. I have a headache and i am thirsty and my bbs are sore. How about you, how are you feeling?
