Oh, wow! Twelve follies!!! And I can't believe the IVF route ends up being cheaper than an IUI! That's insane...but great for you :-)
Best of luck with your IVF!
IVF has much higher success rates than IUI. If you get the grant you should definitely try it.Congrats on 12 follies. Wow!!
Good luck!!
Wow!! 12 follicles is fabulous. Also the ivf being cheaper is so great. Good luck:)
I think this is good news!!!
IVF have a high rate of success!!
Good luck!
I know it should be good news. I don't know why I'm being such a baby about it. I'm so scared of going through all the extra stuff and having another miscarriage. I know I should be excited - I just wish we had gotten to the bottom of why I lost the last one.
IVF is not bad so don't be afraid. I always hurt really badly from fluid retention the three days after retrieval but that is the worst of it. I understand about the fear of the chemical preg. and have had one myself so I get nervous everytime I think of trying again. Give it all to God. Don't be afraid - this is a good thing - you have more than one chance with more eggs - good luck to you.
You wouldn't be human if you didn't worry.Good luck
HI Alt76,
I wanted to wish you luck on your ivf cycle.
Sending you best of wishes with your follies and upcoming ivf!
Although, I am not sure which is worse, the retrieval (which is usually mild) or the tww afterward!
Best of luck to you! And like Anne said, it is natural to worry.... I swear women were born with a worry gene!!!
Just wondering if you have any information on the IVF grant you mentioned. Just thought I'd ask since waiting on IUI results (won't know for almost 2 weeks) but might have to go the IVF route later on if that didn't work...and money is a factor with us as well.
The grant was obtained through my RE's office and I believe it's a New York State grant that they got. The RE's office then distributes the grant to their own patients based on need. Since I was out of work a lot for various health reasons and dh was a student, Dh and I made a combined total of $23,000 last year, but since he has his own business and was a student, after his business losses our gross income was $13,000 and after the standardized deductions our taxable income was zero. So our contribution out of the $14,000 that the office charges is $600! Sometimes it pays to be broke! They said if the combined income is $50,000, the usual contribution is $2000.
