BBT way down

My BBT went way to 96.8 this morning. Does that mean I am about to ovulate? I am testing with an OPK kit and we are in our 3rd IUI cycle. Today is day CD 12. We go to the doctor tomorrow for an ultrasound and bloodwork to predict help predict when ovualtion will be. In my first 2 IUI's the kits did not show a surge but luckily they caught it through bloodwork. In those cycles I ovulated around days 16 and 17. But my temp. dropped those times right before they said I was going to ovulate. Is it possible I have fluctuated this much and am about to ovulate?

Yeah that is what we decided to go on too. Went in for the IUI this morning and then nurse said according to my progesterone in the bloodwoork from yesterday I did ovulate. I asked the doctor about it when he came in for the procedure and he said I was right on the verge at the time of my test. Who knows???? We did the IUI and are hoping and praying for a positive this time. Thanks for your comments. Sometimes we just need a little more support, right?

that is confusing!! blood work shows that you've already o"d but an u/s shows a good folli, well go with the u/s maybe your body geared up to Ó and didnt quite get there and as your surge has picked up its about to let go of that good sized one, good luck :)

Woke up with a surge this am before going to the doctor. Did bloodwork and ultrasound and they said I had a great follicle, size 24. Then they called me and said my bloodwork showed ovulation had recently occured. I'm so confused!! How could they see that follicle if I had already ovulated? Or do they look the same before and after ovulation. Anyway, they told us to have sex tonight and come back in the morning for the IUI. UGH!!!!

yes its possible, I can ovulate anywhere between day 12 and day 16  from one month to the next, it can be very frustrating!
