My boyfriend was away for 2 1/2 years and we decided we wanted a baby. I took a pregnancy test two days before my period was due and the test came out positive, the next day we took three more test which all came back positive, after 5 days I started spotting the next day the bleeding was heavier so I went to the doctor, bloodwork was done and a ultrasound and I was told I was not pregnant. I find it hard to believe I would get 4 false positives and not be pregnant. The test were 1st Response and Answer. I cant believe this, I was so excited.

You are definitely not alone.  Something similar happened to me last month.  I got a BFP and a +OPK (which can indicate pregnancy).  I told DH and he and I were so excited, we spent hours talking about baby stuff - due dates, boy vs girl, all that stuff.  And then the next day when i tested again it was a BFN.  

It is also called a chemical pregnancy.  Like jjsh44 said, they are extremely common, (50-60% of first pregnancies end that way) and most people dont know even know they are pregnant when they happen.  I wont be  testing early next month, and next time I get a BFP I think I'm going to wait to tell DH until after it has been confirmed by the doctor.  It was horrible to have to tell him that I wasnt pregnant any more.

I totally feel your pain, hon.  The only thing you can do is rant and rave and maybe shed some tears, to get rid of all that negativity and then move on to next month.

I am so sorry this happened to you.  don't give up trying for your little one!  This happened to me as well.  I "thought" I was pregnant.  I took a home pregnancy test and then went to the doctor.  Both times verified my pregnancy.  My boyfriend at the time, him and I were having intercourse one night and I started to bleed.  We went to the emergency room and they told me I wasn't pregnant.  That's all they said.  No D&C I so often here about or anything.
I now have twins thanks to IVF!  our re told me that I had what is called a spontaneous miscarriage and I guess they are very very common.  Women have them that don't even know they are pregnant.
