Anyone with endometriosis TTC or has had a sucessful preg?

I was just dx'ed with endometriosis 2 nights ago and my Dr. feels pretty confident that it's the cause for my past 2 m/cs.

I'm curious to know if anyone has had the lap surgery to treat the endo and then go on to have a baby?  She said my case wasn't "that bad."

Thanks again for your reply!  One more question:  Did you mean your sisters HCG levels when she was preg with her son, were slow to rise??  Mine at first were awesome!  13 DPO-  264, and then 17 DPO it rose to 1540.  However  @ 24 DPO it only rose to 3276.  That's when she confirmed I was having a tubal.

lovemychris--Thanks for your inspiring story about your friend!  I hope I can be as lucky as she was!

I know someone who had endometriosis for years, had the lap procedure and then got pregnant back-to-back 3 times until she had her tubes tied.  She had it really bad and once bled for 72 days before going to the ER to see what was wrong.  She was dx'd with endo and then had the procedure a few years later when she decided to conceive.

Best wishes.

my sis never m/c, she did however have difficult pg's with lots of pain and bedrest and babies born early.  but i dont think that had to do with endo.  we both have babies early.  i think the lupron made her wacky, very hormonal, but she also was that way with clomid. she is just a grouch lol.  she basically needs to have her uterus removed, it doesnt get better and the only thing helping a bit now is taking her pills and skipping her peiod.  so you are pg but worried because your numbers arent climbing they way they should??  same with my sis and her son.  he was a slow one lol.  all ii can say is try to be positive right now.  try to not worry and think only great things.  good luck!

I think (now that I did have a successful pregnancy) that I was pregnant once before but my periods were irregular but I had all the symptoms and finally did a test with a faint positive I didn't know faints were still positive so I disregarded it and started a period about a week later.  I'm pretty sure I was though??? That is the only time.  For me the hard part is getting pregnant.  I hope that this one stays for you and you don't have to go through that again.  Keep us posted!!!

I had endo also. Stage 1, not too bad, but was put on lupron depot 7.5 to shrink a fibroid....
The lap is not that bad at all......infertility hurt more, to put it this way!
Lupron kinda sucked, but again, it was all for a 'good cause'......so, i sucked it up...and now it's over....
This will be my 2nd cycle after lap that i TTC.
good luck!!!

I also have endo.  I've had two lap surgeries and 2 rounds of Lupron.  I've gotten pregnant 3x - 2 healthy girls and I miscarried an ectopic.  So your odds are very good!!

Wow, I am really excited to see all of these answers.  LuvMyKinzie - it sounds like we have similar fears.  I am on Lupron after the Doc found endo in April.  My last injection is in September and I am already thinking of what my chances are of conceiving and having a healthy pregnancy!

Thanks pertykitty and TTC obsession for your replies!  It makes me feel so much better to know that there's a chance.  Perty-Did your sister have any m/cs?  TTC-Did you have any m/cs?

The freaky thing is I'm still preg right now.  The Dr. went in to do the lap bc she thought I was having a tubal pregnancy.  Go to find out, it wasn't  tubal but it was the endometriosis causing my pain.  I'm pretty certain I'm going to m/c again as my levels are rising very SLOWLY!

I had endometriosis and it was a 3 on the 1-4 scale?  The doctor said it wasn't the worst he had seen but pretty close.  I did the surgery and felt so much better but after 2 months I started to feel some familiar pains coming back.  The doctor said I should do Lupron but I was sooooo scared of it.  I did end up coming to terms with it and realizing it was the best option and I did it for 6 months you are not supposed to get pregnant while on it which sucks (and I even gave it about 2 months after stopping before ttc) well that next month of trying (50 mg of clomid) I finally had my first son who is now 16 months and I still have no signs of the endometriosis coming back.  I hope to have another baby but I have yet to succeed I have only had 6 cycles since weening him.  In any case I want you to know you CAN get pregnant after endo. and that lupron is not such a horrible drug (although the hot flashes SUCK :))

good luck

my sister had probably had 5 surgeries and lots an ovary, that was before having 2 children.  yes its possible. she did take clomid with her first, i dont think with her second. her endo was growing and attaching to organs, her spine.  very bad.  have the surg, it isnt a horrible procedure at all.
