Cystic Ovaries

I went to my OB/GYN yesterday and he did a pelvic ultrasound.  He said my ovaries looked okay, but my right ovary is a little cystic.  He said it's nothing to be alarmed about, but he'll send me for an hsg next and then will prescribe clomid.  Can anyone here relate.  Please share your stories, I'm a little afraid of all this.

What is clomid for? I am curious because I supposedly had a large cyst on my rt ovary and the doc. was freaking out, but when I went to a follow up u/s they said it was just tiny and that I had one on each side. With this cycle I had terrible pain when I think I ovulated, but it was on both sides. Anyway, I am just curious too I guess.

cystic ovaries means that you have 12 antral follies or more on each ovary.  My ovaries are cystic and I have PCOS...which causes me to never Ovulate on my own... I would to some CD 3 testing for LH/FSH ratio, testosterone, DHEA, fasting Glucose and insuline to rule out PCOS...

Hey all. I had the same thing happen. I had like 30 on one side and 15 on the other. No DX of PCOS, but I am suspicious. I have recurrent miscarriage, I may be on my third right now and I'm wondering if it's because of this. I have long abnormal periods at times. But I get pregnant like that. I just can't carry them. So I'm not sure what to think!

I think Clomid is for helping me ovulate.  He won't prescribe me that yet until I get the HSG done.

He sent me for the CD 3 testing and that was fine.  He didn't express much concern yesterday, but I guess if things don't get better he might send me for other testing.
