Testing for pregnancy-first response

Hi guys!! Well as you know I got my bfp at 9dpo, I'm now 11dpo and have gotten positives twice daily since then. Im terrified of a chemical preg so I keep testing. My question is this, about tests getting darker and what youve all noticed. First I used dollar tree up until late today when I used a first response early result and dollar tree at the same time. DT has not gotten darker since 9dpo, but FRER was so dark, almost as dark as the control line. What have you all gotten with FRER? Do they ever come out faint? Is this a good sign it was so dark, even though my DT is not changing?? I get a blood level tomorrow and so want it to be good. Whats a good beta at 12dpo???? Thanks!

I am 11 dpo today.  Yesterday I got what I thought was a VERY faint BFP on a drug warehouse brand early response.  This morning the line was a little darker...but I fell back asleep before looking at it, so I'm not sure if it is just an evap. line...this was with FMU this morning.  So, I bought an actual FRER today and tested this afternoon and BFN...so I don't know if it's just because it wasn't FMU or if it was actually an evap line this morning.

I think the detection level on FRER is a lot lower than on dollar tree.    I swear dollar tree wasn't picking my hcg up until I was over 100.   FRER gave me a positive when my HCG was 6 and 12.   So an HCG of 100 on FRER would be darker than $$ tree.   On dollar three if the threshhold is 100, then the test line would be fairly light.    So if you get it pretty dark on dollar tree, you are probably gettina  good increase on your HCG.

I say that you should just stop testing..you're pregnant. Don't stress out too much, it's not good for the baby!  ;)  If you're gonna have a chemical(not that you will), you testing everyday won't prevent it so since you couldn't do anything about it anyways, just stop thinking about it.  I tested positive yesterday with a FRER at 12 dpo and the line was pretty dark, almost as dark as the control line...  Good luck with everything!!  Let me know about your results tomorrow.   :)

hi i got a + on FRER on 9 dpo and again on 11 dpo line got darker.  i had frozen 3 day transfer. on 12 dpo my beta was 329. good luck! im not sure what the numbers sohuld be ive seen numbers from 15 all the way up to mine. good luck on ur beta!

Thanks. Yeah, I drive myself crazy with the light and dark thing. When I called at 10dpo for a blood hcg at my RE's office, the lady said that it could be a chemical pregnancy and that they don't test blood until at least 12dpo to try and avoid that. She got me all worried! Obviously I know that's a possibility, but I didn't need to hear it from her! I thought she cursed me or something. Well I did take another FRER this morning, same as yesterday, quite dark, so I think I'll stop now. WIsh me good luck for a high beta this morning!!!

I did have FRER get darker when I was pg in Jan and they kept getting so. But, it is very normal to get varying results from test to test. Even two tests in the same box can be different shades. The consistancy of manufacturing is not great.

I wouldnt keep testing I done that with the internet cheapies and they started getting lighter and just about drove me batty.

No I got BFP 9dpo with dollar tree, but didn't try with FRER till today. Was bummed I thought they should be getting darker!! Good luck, are you going to test? My faint pos came up within 2 minutes with dt test...crazy!

Did you get your BFP at 9dpo with a FRER?  Just wondering...9DPO is tomorrow for me!
