Sbumblebeeo- Yayy, Shelby is here! Congratulations!! :) I have to say, Kmcarino said it best! I couldn't have said it better myself! ;) Being a new mommy is hard, it's hard to remember to take care of yourself too. But just remember, healthy mommy= healthy baby, especially since you're breastfeeding! What really helped me was having family come over and "babysit" while I was still there, just to take a nap, clean the house, whatever. The breastfeeding will get better. My strongest opinion is to stick with it! The first few weeks are hard, just getting adjusted to it and figuring out when to pump/nurse, etc. Addy's 4 months old (today actually!) :) and I'm still nursing and I'm so thankful I stuck with it, even after getting mastitis. Can't wait to see new pics of your sweetie!!! :)
Mommyin10- I LOVE your new pics on FB!!! Adorable!!! :) I need to post pics of Addy's first Easter too. It was so cute... I got all her stuff together and put it on the couch, went and woke her up and said "Addy, the Easter bunny came!" She got the biggest smile, of course only b/c of the way I talked to her! lol! But still, it was adorable! :) We're in the biggest part of the moving process now. I've been packing all day, and Addy's been sleeping all day! If she doesn't wake up soon, I'll have to wake her up b/c my bbs are about to explode! lol! ;) How is everything going with you and the babies? Addy has her 4 month check up this Friday. She's 4 months today! :) Oh, the stars by the names are there for answering the most questions.
Babymadd- Welcome to your 2ww!!! :)
Ad_06- Oh, sorry the appointment didn't go as well as you hoped! They'll figure out a happy medium for you tho! :) Wow, 6 months along! I feel like you just found out you were pregnant! It's amazing how fast time goes!!
Keyan- Welcome to your 2ww!! Everything's crossed!! :)
Ok, better get back to packing! :)
Congratulations on your beautiiful baby girl! You should sleep whenever she is sleeping so you can get some sleep. I had to wake my son every two hours to feed him and that was for a while since he was a small baby. YOur body does kinda adjust to the lack of sleep but it is hard. I remember having to decide between eating or sleeping. I definitely lost weight after he was born since I had no time to eat if I wanted to sleep at all. Hang in there!
I missed your post! I am soooo Happy to hear that you all are doing well and that Shelby is here =D Can't wait to see pics!
So I had my appt today with the diabetic specialist and it wasn't the best. He wants my sugar under 105 2hrs after I eat. Which while I was on bedrest that was fine....cause I never went to the kitchen and wasn't being tempted. Now that is a different story....lol I mean I don't eat all the time....but I crave carby things....lol Last visit with my OB she took me off metformin....so now my diabetic doctor wants me to do a 2 week study to see if they are worse now that I am off of metformin. Geesh this is so hard! I told DH that I should have just asked to go ahead and have the insulin or something cause I love my carbs! My sugars aren't horrible but they aren't where he wants the to be all the time. Well we will see what my OB has to say on Friday... I probably won't have another u/s til 32 or so weeks. Unless with the GD if she thinks he is measuring way bigger.I can't believe I am almost 6 months =D
Well I'll update again Friday!
Hi Girls! We're finally home. We got home yesterday but it's been a little crazy with company and feeding and trying to sleep. i feel guilty about sitting on the computer but I wanted you all to know Shelby is just perfect! She was 7lbs 1ounce and 20 inches long! The c section was ok... the pain afterwards was a bit more than I thought it would be but mostly b/c I wanted to be up moving around and taking care of my new baby girl. We ended up staying an extra day in the hospital b/c she lost 11% of her weight and that was double what they like. We are still working on the whole breast feeding thing and my milk took it's time comeing in but it's getting there. We saw her doctor today and he said we need to continue to wake her every 3 hours to feed but by the time I am done feeding and done pumping to stimulate my breasts it's only two hours before we have to start again. Anyone know when she'll feed enough to let me sleep for 4 hours? That would be great! This 2 hours a day stuff is hard. She is so beautiful though. I just want to hold her and when I can sleep, I dont want to in case she needs me. I'm sure we'll figure it all out. She has an appointment for an ultrasound on her hips at 6 weeks so we are hoping for positive results. I'll try to get some pictures posted tomorrow.
Hope everyone else is well. We are sooooo happy with our little crankypants. :) She is calling me now.
