Cervical Mucous

31 fem. This month on the 17, I had a thick white stringy mucous discharge (A lot)on the toilet paper when I wiped. It was not egg whites. My tracker indicated I would ovulate on that day.  I think I ovulated before.  That type of mucous is after you ovulate? I had intercourse on the 12. I know TMI... lol  Took a test 2 days ago, was negative. Period should come today.  Had tugging sensation down in my privates which I feel only when I am preggos ,a couple of days ago. Please give me your input. I know sometimes , its all mental.

What can be due to hormonal / pregnancy? The thick white mucous. If u ovulate later does ur period come later too? I think i will wait a week. My app said i should have ovulated on the 17 but i didnt.

Egg white cervical discharge is one of the indictors of ovulation .It can also occur due to pregnancy, hormonal changes or any STI/RTI. You have taken up pregnancy test which is negative so for better confirmation it is better to take a blood test for beta HCG. It is better to correlate all clinical symptoms and signs with test results. This is merely an advice and not a substitute for clinical examination.
