Clomid and cycle length

HI,

I've always had problems with my periods. I've been trying for a baby for about 15 years (initially when I was in a previous relationship). Over the past 18 months I've suffered with prolonged, very heavy periods and this time last year I even had to have a blood transfusion.

I've now been taking Clomid and going to hospital for transvaginal scans and HCG injections for two months. After the first month I had a period on the 28th day. Maybe I felt lulled into a false sense of security, but I thought the cycle would be 28 days this month too. However, I'm now on day 37 and I've done three pregnancy tests since day 35, all of which have been negative.

Is there a reason why I haven't started my next period? I realise that the beginning of the cycle, pre-ovulation, can vary in time-length, but I was under the impression that after ovulation I should bleed within 12-15 days if I wasn't pregnant.

Please help!

Did they do an u/s and tell you that you did o this cycle? I don't know why lp would be so long if so. That's a new one to me, too. Lp usually is the same length. Maybe that's why the "usually" is always inserted.

Thanks for replying.

The nurse did a transvaginal scan and said I had two big follicles, so she administered the injection to stimulate ovulation. I'm going to try to contact her tomorrow. I really got my hopes up when I didn't bleed, silly me!!!
