Whats the next step?

I know this has most likely been discussed over a thousand times already, but I just wanted to know: whats the next step after clomid? I just got back from a visit with my gyn, and after 6 consecutive months of 50mg clomid (cd's 2-6 with confirmed o), she has referred me to an RE. Just wanted to know what he will do in addition / or the next step to clomid?

I am glad you are being referred to an RE!   The next step for me was IUI using a stimulant,Follistim (small injection).  Many woman are very successful with this step, but I was not.  My ER is tomorrow. (IVF)  After the IUI often RE will give you progesterone to keep that lining thick and strong for implantation.  Most likely you will get vaginal suppositories.  The pills have WAY too many serious side affects.  Good luck at the RE

I think getting a RE is good step forward.  Would increasing Clomid dosage help?  I've also heard gals will try Femara if they don't respond well to Clomid.  It also has fewer s/e.
Good luck with whatever you decide!

My Dr. will just up the Clomid at this point...to 100mg.  In the meantime, he has referred me to a fert. specialist.  BUT, since I cannot get in to see him until the end of August, the fert. spec. has been giving his instructions through my Gyn. who will test my prog. and then determine about the mg. of Clomid.
