Cycle Buddies 2009

OK, girls! Here's the new post. Thanks for suggesting "Cycle Buddies 2009," Quinns momma! Let's hope 2009 is a lucky year for all of us!

bfromthed: I'm so sorry about stupid AF! Hopefully the new year will bring new possibilities and a big ol' BFP for you ;-)

mwhitcomb: I hope the acupuncture/gonal-f combo works for you so you can celebrate a BFP very soon! I keep thinking about trying acupuncture, but just haven't gotten around to it. Good to hear it helps you relax, too ;-) How did your sonogram go today?

Lisa: I'll be crossing my fingers that it's implantation spotting! And the feeling of AF being on her way could be implantation cramps! I hope it is! Keep us posted, OK?

Cill: How did things go with your test on Friday? I got my fingers crossed for a BFP!

OK, here's our list...

spoc: 17 dpo (anyone heard from spoc?)
Cill: 15 dpiui, metformin/clomid
Lisa: in the 2WW, not sure when O took place

I saw on another thread that Spoc found out on Jan 2 that IUI did not work this cycle. :( She is very upset.

C'mon ladies we must try and remain positive. 2009 is our year.

Clomid is giving me some ovary pain. Ugh but at least I know it is doing something in there. LOL :)

Hi ladies!  Happy New Year to you all...

2009 will be our year.  We just have to remain positive no matter what issues come up along the way.  I know that is easier said than done but we have to have mand keep the faith.

I had my 2nd iui this year (5th in total sine 03) and got BFN on 12/30/08.
Just about done (almost with AF).  My DH and I have appt meeting with RE on Tuesday 01/06/09 to discuss next step, which is most likely IVF due to male factor last cycle.

I'll keep you all posted with any new updates.

xo,

remember, positive thoughts,
marline

Hannah! Good to hear from you! I'll add you back on the list! Best of luck on Wednesday! Hopefully they'll find some good ones on the left!

Quinns momma: Yeah, 2009 WILL be our year! Glad to hear you're having some "action" down there in the ovary region ;-)

mama1981: Welcome to the thread, Marline, and Happy New Year to you too! What cycle day are you? I might also move on to IVF. My RE suggested taking this cycle off and start thinking about what to do next. We have a SA scheduled this coming week, and then we have to decide whether to do a more aggressive injectable/IUI cycle or move on to IVF. Best of luck with your appointment on Tuesday!

bfromthed: I've had cycles like that, where I thought I had started day one, but was then told by my RE that it didn't count because AF started too late in the day or not full flow yet. I'll change your info to CD1. Enjoy your time off from work...and best of luck with your new cycle!!!

Tested this morning BFN, but my husband insisted that we went for a HCG test this afternoon and the blood test came back B-HCG 9.29.  Does that mean im pregnant?
İm on CD35 and i had brown spotting on Saturday (which im guessing could have been implantation).  İf i am pregnant isnt that level low.  We are going to go and get another HCG test done on Wednesday because i think if its a real pregnancy it doubles every couple of days.  İm just sooo scared after my ectopic in July.  As some of you might know i live in Turkey and its not as easy just phoning up or going to see a doctor because of the language difference.  And then its the money.
İm keeping my fingers crossed.  İ feel sooo achey and and rotton.  Might go for a hot bath.
This is the year for us all.  God bless.
İ'll keep you ınformed.

OMG, Lisa! Congrats! Anything over 5 is considered pregnant!!! I know the number is a bit low, but if you implanted on Saturday, it's only been a couple of days, so it's still early! Like you said, the main thing is just that the number doubles every 2-3 days. I'll be crossing my fingers for nice, high number on Wednesday!!! Keep us posted!

Hi Heather5.

I've been following another post and just came accross this one you've started. I remember reading your posts a couple of months ago.....love how you track where everyone is at. I am 10 dpiui. This is my 2nd iui. I have unexplained infertility. I had some slight bleeding this morning. I feel crampy and bloated. I feel like af is coming. Hate this!!! My RE doesn't want me to test until Wednesday but I may test tonight.

bfromthed: Has your injection protocol been the same for all your IUI attempts?

Hello all,
I wanted to jump in this thread. I am CD8 and I am taking my first shot of Gonal-F today and another tomorrow. I am getting ready for my first IUI!!! I am so excited, even though I am trying hard not to get my hopes up. My husband and I have been ttc for about 2 years now, so pls wish me luck!

Welcome too all those who are new to the forum :)  We are all rooting for BFP's this awesome new year!!!!

Heather5:  I went for the sono yesterday and my RE said that my estroidal (spelling) is at 400 which is good because she doesn't want to overstimulate me.  As for the follicles it looks like I will be having a lot.  She didn't give me an exact number though.  Most of them are measuring about 8 -9 mm.  A couple of them measured 11 and 12.  She said that they need the follicles to meausre at least 18-20 mm for the egg retrieval.  She also said that the eggs normally grow about 1 mm a day, so my guestimate is that I will  be retrieving sometime at the end of this week.  She kept me on the same dosage of meds too.  Next sono on Wednesday.  :~)

I'm just one day after you.  I just have sono this morning.  There are about 12-13 follicles, measuring 7-9 mm.  I'll come back to see him on Thursday.  I think my ER is either next thursday or friday.  I still keep same dose of 375 IU bravell and 75IU repronex.
Good luck to you all ladies.

No it has changed the first time on the injectables I overstimulated...the next I had 21 follicles and bfn then the next cycle went for moniotring and had 17 follies left from the previous cycle so we were put on a month break..this time we slowly increased the dosages but still bfn...I will be going in tomorrow at 7am for moniotring and the med plan...I will post tomorrow afternoon with the plan :)

Count me in! I'm not really sure what the plan is. We miscarried November 20th and have yet to get AF (been almost 7 weeks). I'm going to take a pregnancy test just to be sure that's not what is delaying AF because we don't use protection, very much into natural family planning.

I'm currently on CD47 if you count the m/c as the LMP, which technically it isn't. But that's the only basis I have.

Oh, and I did take 2 pregnancy tests about 1 1/2 - 2 weeks ago and they were both BFN so I know that if I did get a BFP it wouldn't be because of leftover tissue.

Wow! Lots of action here last night! Welcome to the thread, everyone! I've added all new posters to the list below ;-)

JoyRenee: I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage... Hopefully, you'll get another "sticky" BFP soon! Let us know how it goes when you test again.

bfromthed and mama1981: Good luck with your appointments today!

babywanted: 12-13 follicles is a great number! Best of luck to you!

mwhitcomb: That's great news about all the follicles and your estradiol number! You know, I'm not sure if it's different in IVF cycles, but in a normal cycle, the follicle usually grows about 1mm a day in the beginning, but then speeds up to 2mm a day closer to ovulation :-)

patience: Yes, definitely, best of luck! I hope your first IUI is successful, so you can celebrate a BFP in about three weeks or so!

Nattydivine: So good to hear from you! Did you test last night? Slight bleeding/spotting and  cramps can definitely be a good sign at 10 dpiui. Could be implantation!!! Keep us posted!

Sending everyone tons of SSBD for this cycle! Hopefully January will bring us lots of BFPs!

Heather,
Husband went to speak to the doctor today.  Doctor said that HCG 9.29 is low but she wants me to wait till Thursday to do another test and she wants my numbers to be high or its not a viable pregnancy.  Cant relax now.  She also said that number doesnt even mean im pregnant.  Only over 25 does.
İ will keep you posted. :(

Oh, sorry, babywanted! I thought you meant you were one cycle day behind mwhitcomb ;-)  I'll change it to CD7. That's ever better, then, with 12-13 follicles already!!! Yay!

cwolf: Thank you so much for your kind words! I'll definitely add you to the list! How exciting about your upcoming FET cycle! I hope it brings you a big ol' BFP towards the end of the month!!!

Here's your updated/new info for now, I'll add it to the BIG list tomorrow! Take care, and best of luck to both of you!!!

babywanted: CD7, IVF cycle, bravelle/repronex, next sono Thursday
