D&E today and what now

Hello everyone, i am officially not pregnant  i had my d&e today and it was painful. They kept saying they were injecting me(my vagina) with anesthesia but i felt every bit of pain and it was painful. But the weird thing after the procedure was they just told me when i feel better i could go home; no instructions nothing. They just gave me this thing to insert in my vagina and thats it. So for thoose of u that had it what should i do, i did called my ob and i am waiting for ger to call back with instructions. Anyway thank you and please respond they are appreciated. SSBD to you all hope i get my angel soon as well as all of you. Thank you so much

I am so sorry that you had to go through all this -- I had 2 miscarriages and did not have to go through any procedures -- I hope you feel better and I hope the next one sticks for you -- keep me posted.  Good luck.

I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I haven't had a D&E, but I have had a D&C. Make sure you get some rest today, and keep an eye on the bleeding. It's normal to bleed after, but if you soak through two pads or more in one hour, you need to call your doctor. Also, don't use any tampons or have intercourse for at least one week. And make sure to notify your doctor if you have fever, abdominal pain, or a vaginal discharge with a bad odor.

I have never had a D & C done but I can't imagine what you went through. I have had a miscarriage but did not need a D & C. I found a link that might help you out.
