I need your help guys
been ttc since 03 since i got married ,I dont have kids in my life yet ,I got irregular period before my ovary removal back in yr '05 ,and continuesly try to TTC ,I got my 30-45- days length of period ,but dont know when i get ovulated since i never been in tested with ovulation kits.i finish HSG in 06' blood work done ,husband has a perfect sperm count ,and i took clomid for 5 months straight ,..and stuff last july 07 ...and till this time i dont take any fertility pills anymore ,How long does the clomid stay in my system ,since i stop last July 07 ..i still got 30-45 days period ,and up to this time i always wish hope and pray that since i stop clomid i become pregnant ...Pls help ..any help would be appreciate ...thank you guys ..i know all girls here are so nice ,and patiently answer the and give advice and help ...
For IUI to be a success you have to ovulate. If your periods are not regular that may not be happening for you. Also, you don't need bed rest for IUI; it is not that invasive. Note that success of IUI goes up with injectables. It costs around $200+drugs here in the US;probably cheaper almost everywhere else.
Your doc should be monitoring you if you are taking clomid or injectables for potential side-effects like ovarian cysts.

Merhaba! Well I am no expert and pretty new at this fertility thing but have been trying to concieve with my DH since we were married in 7/01 so I can relate to you on that level. I am sorry you lost one ovarie and I'm sure that the pcos and loss of one ovarie are making it difficult for you to concieve. The good news is your husband had a good sperm count. I assume everything else like his morphology and motlility is good too? I am on cd 6 and took my second clomid pill today. This is my first time trying clomid (hope it works!) However, If taking clomid and having BMS does NOT work this month then next month we will try it with IUI, which my doctor explained to me as well. Well in regards to your question I will let you know what my doctor told me:
1. I think you can do IUI whenever you are sure that you ovulate. Do OPK to find your ov. date then you go in next day for IUI. My doctor said it was easy procedure and could go to work right after.
2.No bed rest needed. (although just to be safe I plan to lay still for 20min) My insurance does NOT cover any infertility treatments so we will have to pay out of pocket approx. $600.00 ea. time. This cost also includes a sperm wash.
3. Your system working in what regard? For ovulation? CM?
4. If you go see your doctor they should be able to do an exam to see if your uturus is ok (the lining)
5. I believe that HSG is the test they do to find out IF your tubes are blocked and if they are then the actual surgery is laparoscopy. But your tubes were not blocked so I dont think you need to worry about that right now.
6. I think your issue is ovulation due to your circumstances. Go see your doctor and set up a plan. Have you tried alternatives like acupuncture?? I am about to read an article in Newsweek magazine about Health and Diet and how it very much relates to fertility. Good luck and I hope you get prego soon! Insallah!

IUI with medications and U/s comes to about 1000$ ie if your insurance covers it...My insurance covered 50% then I ended up payng abt 1000 $ every month
Just wanted to add that you do not need to be on bed rest with IUIs. It's a simple procedure that only takes a few minutes, and after it's done, you can go about your daily life. Not sure how much it costs, though...

4. i have polycystic ovaries. i was put on clomid for three months. the third month my dosage was 100mg and thats when i grew oversized cysts on both ovaries. but i got pregnant that same month and my cysts were gone that same month. so dont worry about the cysts. they come and go. u will get cysts if she raises the amount. i think. that you should talk to your doctor about

honey, i can tell that you have serious medical worries and questions. and what surprises me is that you have been treated with your doctor for a long time to ttc. so what i dont understand is why havent you asked her your concerns yet?i say, you really are sounding a bit more worried than you need to. maybe if you stop stressing, you might get pregnant on your own. has your doctor told you if you can ovulate on your own?sometimes, you do ovulate, but later than normal like i did so when the doctor checked me, she said youre not ovulating. but i got pregnant !! i say write down on a paper all your questions and ask your doctor all of this. noone on this site can give you these answers because we cant diagnose you. we simply give our opinions. i wish you the best of luck! i say stick to clomid, its bound to work!! or see what the next step is. best of luck!!!! i will pray for you!

Thanks again ,anywy since i had the HSG which is my tube was clear and done a bllodcheck for FSH ,then clomid and i got monthly checked up , to see if clomid work on my system ,At first month and 2nd mont attempt of clomid ,I ovulate great ,and then good follicles increase from 12 -22 , 3 follies found ...bd'ng for for 3 days straight ...then on the 3rd attempt ...the OB Gyne didint found a good folicles and i didint ovulate ...But still she said i keep taking clomid until July ...then she give me a prescription ..a GOnal -F injections for the next month of August .but we dont get this injection because were gone for one month vacation ...but being i got a irregular menses,i miss my August period . then myperiod finally came Sept 26 ....and then we back in vacation that time already .since then we dont get any appointment yet to the OB becuase i do believe that the Clomid thing will work for us ,while we taking a break which is i took if for 5-6 months straight already ,but theres no effect ...i aam also scared of thinning theh lining which also cause a cyst ..Because i already had a Dermoid cyst ,removed on my lfet ovary and Polycystic right ovary ,(back in 2005 was already been done surgery )
Until now its already December ,Its made me emotionally ,which is i wanted to get pregnant before the year end ,and still dont ...I did everything ,and has been checked many times.makes me mad sometimes because our insurance here dont cover the fertility and infertility ,this so sad .we just found out currently after we reimburse the receipt ,we got the message back that they dont cover this stuffs...we spent much money already came out from our pocket.
My question is ?please patiently answer my question below .
1.Can i get the IUI right away if we come back and get appointment this month , after those faulired treatment in the Past ?
2.How much does the IUI cost ? is this need to get Bed rest for the whole time ?
Do the IUI need to stay in Hospital or home treatment after the IUI injections ?
3.Is there any medicines that can help ,for my system work .?
4.What is the basic check up after taking the fertility pills ,to see and make sure if theres no side effect of those medicines i took (clomid )
5.IS the HSG ,the only progress to see the tube are block or not , I did HSG and (dont found any problem of my tube ),or laparoscopy thing. is better than HSG ..never try the laparoscopy yet ..

first of all, youre question isnt clear. your dates arent clear. why would you think that if clomid wears off, then you can get pregnant. it probably has worn off. that was july 07. but it really doesnt matter. if you wanna get pregnant , you shouldnt care if the clomid is worn off or not, just keep trying.i am guessing that since you dont have regular periods and its hard for you to ovulate and conceive, maybe you have pcos. its not a big deal, it just explains. did the doctor check you every month that you were on clomid to see if you ovulated? if not then, you need to change your doctor. the dosage shoudl go higher every month or so and you should be at the doctors office every month to see if the clomid has made you ovulate so you knwo when to ttc. again, thats the best i could do with yoru confusing questions. i hope i helped a bit.
