February IVF-ers!!!

I wanted to start this thread if anyone is interested in having a cycle buddy for a Feb. IVF.
I know its a little early, but I'm on the antagonist protocol and am done with the bc pills. I will
have my u/s on Sun. Jan 31 and if all goes well, I will start my stims.
I turned 40 one month ago. I spoke with the IVF nurse and she estimates my egg retrieval for Feb 9 or 10.
I will have a 3 day transfer possibly on Feb 12 or 13.  Really excited and hope there are others out there who need some company.  Right now I don't have to take anything, so I am just floating along here until my u/s.  
Anyone with ivf  stories is also welcome.

Lapoo: welcome and good luck to you.  You will feel lots of little pulls and pinches. I had some low level cramping on and off during the tww. Then it went quiet for a few days and got bfp on blood test.  I did test early so I had a clue but the blood tests are the real deal.

Enough2356: I am doing ok.  I am just crossing my fingers and hoping that the next u/s shows that my babies are fine.  My next u/s is Friday March 19.  I still have the blood in my urine, I had an ultrasound and they said my kidney and bladder looked fine. My blood work looked like I am fighting an infection but no confirmation of that either.  I have to see the doctor early next week again for blood work, they want to make sure I don't get anemic.  I have no pain or anything.  I'm a little worried about it but so far there are no scary symptoms that I need to worry about.  Thursday night my best friend from work passed away from a heart attack after surgery and I have been very sad over this. He was a wonderful person and in great shape, this was a total shock.  I'm ok right now, but is it hard.  I will keep you posted as to what happens on Friday.

I'm having some sharp/piercing pain near my navel area. Not steady but enough to notice. I know there's a lot going on with my body considering the last few days. Otherthan that I feel pretty good. Let me know if anyone has felt a similar pinching feeling in that area and perhaps give some insight on what I may be experiencing.

I'm new to this forum and IVF.  I've enjoyed reading your posts. It's such an encouragement to hear of someone else's success.

Here's my story:
-40 yrs/Married-(2 etopic pregnancies) Blocked tubes..Hubby is fine. Sperm count 157mil
-1st IVF cycle-PNV-BCP-Lupron-Gonal F-HCG (3/3/10)-Progesterone-Estrace
-11 eggs retrieved 3/5/10
-7 Fertilized
-3/8cell Transfered on 3/5/10
-2 made it to blast and frozen
Suffered from cramping, bloating, gas and constipation the first couple of days. Prune and apple juice have been my best friends. Experiencing lite cramping on and off but I'm feeling much better. Hips are sore from Progesterone injections. Beta not scheduled until 3/19. The 2ww feels longer but I'm hanging in there. I'm hoping for the best for all of us :)))))))

Had my first u/s and it showed twins!  Wow!
That was unexpected!  Baby A is on target and had a heartbeat, Baby B was smaller and no heartbeat yet.  The doc said Baby B may have implanted late and could definitely make it to a live birth.  So for now I have twins and will hope that they both make it.  My next u/s is March 19.  I am saying a little prayer for my little ones and hope they do well over the next week.  Feeling relieved for now but still cautious.  ****baby dust****

kahlua:  That doesn't sound bad at all!  8 and 9 cells are great!  Remember you only need one good egg!!!  Good luck during tww, I know how tough that is.

My update for now is that I have blood in my urine, they thought it was bacterial and I took antibiotics.  I still have the problem so I will probably have to see someone about it this week again. Also, this morning I had some vaginal bleeding.  I totally panicked and called the ivf nurse.  She said that since I don't have super severe cramping and the blood is not bright red (it is brownish red), then she is not worried about it.  That eased my fears for now. I am still scared but I know miscarriage cramps and these little things don't come close.  The nurse said that during early pregnancy you can have vaginal bleeding because there is so much that is changing in there.  In any case, I still have my u/s on Wednesday and am trying to focus on that.  I want to be happy during this pregnancy not a nervous nellie.  For now the vaginal bleeding has stopped and is not coming out anymore.  I am saying a little prayer that my baby is fine and all this will pass.  Good luck to you all and  ***baby dust***************

peppypeep- Good Luck! That will be awesome..er did not go so well..out of the eggs only 3 were mature  and 2 fertilized..grade 2 and 3 ..as of yesterdays transfer both had 8-9 cells..now i guess i wait! even the dr were suprised with the results.. hardest part is now..

Good luck with the egg retrieval.  I had a lot of pain afterward so make sure you have some vicodin on hand or demand real pain killers YOU WILL NEED IT!!!

Hey Everyone,

Beta came back today......889!!!!  I needed at least 576.   Does it mean anything if the beta triples???

Anyway, I am over the moon right now and just told my husband.  Still have lots of little cramps but doing ok.  Moodiness has subsided for now and I will award myself today and head out to lunch with hubby for a veggie pizza!!  Yum!!

Hi, everyone. Would you believe, I actually couldn't find this thread again until just now? The progesterone suppositories must be making my brain foggy. I'm sure I was looking in the right place...

Anyway, I don't have any good news to report, now that I've found my way back here. I'm praying praying praying praying praying that I get a BFP after all next week, but all my symptoms are gone.

Well as we round out this month, the result of my first IVF is a confirmed BFP yesterday with the b/w and my beta is 288.  I will have b/w again tomorrow.  Very excited and looking forward the upcoming weeks.

Hello all! Had u/s and blood this am..4 over 13, 3 over 10 and then some smaller ones..hoping for at least 7 or 8 at retrivel..will see me again on sun..possible et on tuesday..wow this is going quick! worried that i dont have "more" but the nurse said its going "good."

I really appreciate your posts.  You are so optimistic.  I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for you!  Be sure to update us on the blood test.  I had my retrieval on February 9 where they took 11 eggs and 9 matured.  I thin 4 fertilized but only 2 transfered.  The positive thing is that they were both day 6 embies at the Blastocyst stage which, combined with assisted hatching is supposed to increase my chances of success.  The transfer was Feb 16 and my pregnancy test will be Feb 27.  These have been the longest days of my life!  My problem right now is that I'm spotting on and off since Sunday and have been cramping on and off since Saturday.  The spotting turned to bleeding today and now I'm REALLY worried.  I'm trying not to lose hope but what does this all mean.  I am certainly very irritable and am not sleeping the best.  I'm just not sure what to do with myself.  When I went for my hormone level testing they added estrogen to my progesterone.  I'm not sure what impact these are having.

I have my first ultrasound this Friday to see my follies. I'm on max dosis because last time I only had three eggs. This is my fourth IVF. retreival/transfer is March 5-9 more or less

today i had 7 follies on rt ..4 on lft ..RE said continue same meds and he will see me on fri..that will be cycle day 7 so i guess we will know more then..possible ret mid next week..with my iuis i had 3 strong at the end..hopefully this will work..when do u go back?

I am on 300 follistim and was on two menopur powders. but on cd 11 it was upped to 3 powders. i usually have follies with just follistim when i was doing iui. now i only had 3 follies over 10 (14,12,11) on cd11 with the extra drugs. i had a lot of follies less than 10 though. RE says i am just slow and that the estrace i took in the upfront slows things down. i hope that is the case.

Hi all! Tomorrow is first u/s..feel pretty good and excited to see what is going on!

Alice- 4 embryos sounds great! My Re will not transfer more then 2...even 3 would make me feel better!

I am on 375 of follistim, 20 of lupron and 1 pwder of menopur...what have all you ladies been on? I am trying to figure out what is a typical med for ivf...!
