Feeling down - 1st round of clomis and no success :(

I just got done with my first round of clomid. I ovulated but it appears no pregnancy, since I tested today and it was negative. I'm just feeling emotionally drained. Anyone else feel this way? I know one round of clomid is really soon to give up but honestly, I just feel so emotionally spent.

Wish I could get some support here. Hopefully there are tons of positive stories to cheer me up!

Thanks.

I just took my second round of clomid and waiting for AF.(hopefully not)  I know exactly how you feel.  It's hard to describe to people who aren't going through the same thing.  I got a false positive home pregnancy test which made it even worse, I think I cried for 3 days.  It's a very mentally stessful time but you'll get there, just keep positive(even though that's hard to do sometimes) It'll happen it may just take a few times.
Good luck and I'm prayin for ya :)

mangoaddict, udbe, chu linda, amanda (hi), and northernsunshine (hi) :

I totally thought I was pregnant my 1st round and when I wasn't it was a big blow. Very much a rollercoaster, but mango, I'm sure you'll start feeling positive again by the end of your AF and you'll get energy to begin again. I know it feels like HOW... but you'll bounce back. You just have to keep walking until you get to the destination... are we there yet???!!!

I'm feeling again really hopeful for this cycle, but I agree with udbe2 that the 2nd round was really different. Much clearer OPKs and it felt like smooth sailing... maybe the clomid needs to just build up a bit.

SSBD to all of you!!!

I am just finishing up my 2nd round of clomid.  I can tell you there was a world of difference between the two cycles.  My first round I had 13 follicles total and they only matured to about 14mm.   Started my 2nd round and had 31 follicles total and had one mature to 28mm and a few others 16-18mm.

I was disappointed the first cycle of clomid and really thought that I would get pregnant but when the test came back neg I about wanted to cry.   I'm in my 2WW so hopefully this will be the one.

Good luck and SSBD to you all.

Hi Honey,

I just started my 2nd round of Clomid yesterday. I REALLY thought I was pregnant after the 1st round and was so happy..come to find out I am not.  I was extremely down about not being pregnant, I cried when my period finally came. But my fiance' and I talked about it he gave me a lot of encouragement which helped immensely. I hope you keep your spirits high and I will keep you in my prayers as well. Enjoy this beautiful day!  (:

mangoaddict- Yes i know all too well what your feeling.  I'm now on cd3 and my first round of clomid was a bust even though i do ovuate on my own every month like clockwork, all tests have come back very normal and i have very regular cycles.  I had high hopes believing that our unexplained infirtility would be justified by eggs not being mature enough and that the clomid would help that.  But today i've started my second round of clomid hoping and obssessing again over my charts and all signs.

SSBD to you.  Good luck.

I got pregnant on my first round of clomid and didnt show up + on a pregnancy test. I have now learned (after starting a second round and ending in mc) that some people need the extra few days (or another week) to show up on a test. I am not just talking about pee sticks - I didn't show on blood test either. Give it some time, and if it is really negative, try a second round. I know it's a tough rollercoaster. Hang in there.
