Abdominal cramping

I have been on clomid for 3 months, and I am now experiencing severe abdominal cramping and back pains to the point where its throbbing. I just took my last dose of the third month yesterday. Is it too soon to be ovulating? and would ovulation hurt this bad? I am also having hot flashes.

No I have not been monitored at all in the 3 months I've been on clomid, the only blood test I received was my 21 day cycle test just to see if I ovulated, after they found the right dose of 100mg I was given a prescription for 4 months to continue to take on my own till I got pregnant. Actually my doctor told me not even to bother coming in for any appointments. The first 2 months on clomid I did experience cramping but not as severe as this month was. My concern is that its not a constant pain just comes and goes randomly so does that mean there's no reason for concern.

Are you being monitered by your doctor while on the Clomid, with blood tests and ultrasounds?  I think the hot flashes are normal with Clomid, but the cramping sounds like something you might want to report.  I'm not all that familiar with Clomid, but I think you need to be careful of ovarian hyperstimulation.
