I just had third chemical pregnancy. Doctor want to meet with me and my dh to talk about geneting testing. What is it? Specific blood tests? How much it cost? I do not have insurance. I am so scared...

My husband and I both got genetic testing for a balanced translocation after our 3rd loss. It was one blood test for each of us, to check to make sure all our chromosomes are normal. The nurse told me that it usually costs a several hundred dollars, but luckily my insurance covered it (even though my insurance covers very little for infertility treatment, they did cover almost all of the blood tests).  I think balanced translocations are pretty rare - maybe your doctor can go over the chances that that is the problem before you pay a lot for the tests. Good luck.

After I had a m/c panel done (to see why I was m/c so many) they also did genetic/chromosome testing on me and DH..they said it would take 3wks to get it bt we got our result in a week..everything is normal so neither one of us are passing extra chromosomes to our babies...
I dont know what the charge was but I think it was pretty expensive. I have insurance so im lucky..I hope that maybe you can at least do a payment plan or something so you can get it done. or that the free clinic does it..
Good Luck!

They should be able to tell you where to get the testing if they don't do it. I don't think I had genetic testing, just a miscarriage panel that checked thyroid, antibodies etc...
Actual genetic testing tends to be very expensive-my dr said like $2000 or $3000, so we opted not to do it.

Thank you. I found free women's clinic nearby.  I am just not sure if they are doing genetic testing. I will go there anyway. Thank you again!
What your "panel" showed? Why those chemical are happening?

My dr did a "miscarriage panel" after the second miscarriage.  If you don't have insurance I would try a women's health clinic (google "women's health clinic" and the city you are in).  If you can't find something, you could call Planned Parenthood; I think they would be able to get you a referral.
The reason I suggest a women's community health clinic is because my doctor charges $85 PER BLOOD TEST which is just ridiculous when I know if I use an in network provider they are like $10 each (depending on the test, of course).
Good luck. I just had my third chemical pregnancy, too.  It's hard : (
