First IVF, andyone have sucess with frist?

I had my first IVF cycle in May and I'm now 17 weeks pregnant. So yes, success!

This was my first IVF cycle, 4 follicles, 3 eggs retrieved, 1 fertilized and transferd.  Friday was my pregnancy bloodtest came back +. Today was my 3rd test and it's still going strong. My odds were not favorible, but look at the result, it only takes one!

Yes it can happen! We have 9 month old triplet girls as a result of one IVF cycle. They put in 2 embryos and both took and 1 split. And my friend just had twin boys after only one cylce. Good luck!

Have a beautiful daughter after my first ivf cycle.  We transferred 3 embryos on day3 due to poor quality embryos but 1 made it!!!!

I had my first IVF in August and we found out last week that it worked.  We are 5 1/2 weeks pregnant and hoping everything continues to progress.  We transfered 3 embryos on day 3.

HI first of all congrats!  Big time!!  I am in the same boat, sort of, my husband has an appointment with the urologist on Monday,  discussing his vasectomy reversal, he had it 6 years ago, but the good news is , that is he is not immune to his sperm, his sperm has fertilized 9 of my eggs through IVF; very painful for him of course, took a chunk of his testicle and found live sperm, How long ago did your husband have his vasectomy? It is nice to finally find someone on here that has had a vasectomy reversal*? How old are you both if you dont mind me asking? We are both 38 (39 in October and December). Again, congratulations

Thank you!  My husband had his vasectomy about 15 years ago.  Five years ago we tried our first reversal.  Initially they saw a few sperm, but it scarred and closed back up.  Three years ago we tried again and it worked and his numbers climbed steadily and now fall in the normal range on all aspects (count, motility, etc.).  I was tested before he had his VR to make sure i was ok and they never found anything.  We were surprised that nothing worked.  We moved to clomid only, them clomid, hcg trigger and IUIs.  Those didn't work either.  We had more tests.  Both of us were normal.  We fall into the unexplained fertility category.

We just did the IVF.  He made his "donation" into the cup. (sorry if it's TMI)  Our doctor still did ICSI though for the fertilization as he does it with all of his patients.

VRs can work, I think it was just something we haven't found yet in me.  My friend had one and they conceived naturally after the VR.

I am 35, my husband is 46.
