First Step preg test

Hey gals! I  am 30 31 cycle. I use period tracker to track my ovulation. AF not here yet. Took a First step preg test .88 cents early this morning and it was negative. I had a thick vaginal stretchy white mucous on the 17. Not egg whites, looks like I ovulated before. Vaginal tugging feeling and felt a huge pinch on my left ovary yesterday. I literally almost hit the roof.  Intercourse on the 1/12 .My period was on 12/31/13. I have two boys already. Anyone use First Step and get a false negative? I have First response waiting for later in a couple of days

Hi, unprotected intercourse during the ovulation period is likely to result in pregnancy. Since your pregnancy test is negative you are unlikely to be pregnant. But you can repeat the test after two days just to confirm. The chances that you may be pregnant depend on your ovulation time. The ovulation time depends on your menstrual cycle. But when in doubt always consult your doctor, who may ask for a blood test to rule out pregnancy. Regards.
