HCG - did it double at 48 or 72 hours for you? Please help!

Hi ladies,

After 3 years of ttc and one ectopic pregnancy (right tube removed), I was thrilled to get a BFP Monday, with a beta level of 132. Today's beta, 48 hours later, was 204. It didn't double, but the RE said it is meant to double within 48-72 hours (the American Pregnancy website said the same thing). They will repeat the beta Friday and will hope to see numbers around 500.

I am still very positive and not freaking out, but am a wee bit anxious. Could you ladies please tell me, based on your experience, did your hcg levels double within 48 hours or 72 hours? Thanks so much!

Your numbers sound great!!! My doctors office also told me 48 to 72 hrs. Mine did not quite double at the begining, but did go up a lot and I am now 21wks pg. So don't stress, I know easier said then done!!! I am sure your numbers on Friday will be awesome!!!

Good luck!!!!

Thank you both! The doctor said it was not unusual for it to double at 72 rather than 48 hours. He said that he was fairly certain this is a normal pregnancy, but it's hard not to worry! I am going to focus on staying positive.

Hi,
Your numbers did go up. so try and stay strong.   Everyones bodys are different and there are no rules set in stone that they have to double within a certain amount of time.  It is only a guidline.

So  relax and enjoy the fact that they did rise.

Good luck

I can not remeber to be honest with you, I'm sorry.
Congrats thought on the BFP!!!!!
I'm sure it will be better on Friday, I'm sure the waiting is the worst part. You just want to be all excited and feel like you can't yet, but try to let yourself enjoy the moment.
Hopefully others will know more than me and answer you.
