Do they have you on any nausea medication?
Typically the nausea will get better around the second trimester. You are getting close - if that helps!
When did the nausea start?
Hey, just wanted to let you know that I had the same symptoms when I was pregnant w/ both of my boys (so very long ago) also I was car sick. I would eat saltines before I even left the bed every morning until it subsided. Luckily mine didnt last long. Hopefully yours will be the same :)
It started about 5 days after my embryo transfer and has not stopped since then, it's actually getting worse :(. My OB says it's a good sign, I don't understand how.
Kara, I've gone through boxes of saltines and nothing. at first sour stuff would help but not anymore :(. I love being pregnant but this is soooo hard.
If you can manage to tolerate any of it, ginger is an excellent natural cure for nausea. Some places sell ginger chews for that purpose (make sure they're natural with REAL ginger and not full of sugar!) or an easy home remedy that actually tastes good is to grate some ginger with a fine grater. About 1 tsp per cup. Let it steep a couple of minutes in hot water and strain it well. Add honey to taste. You can either drink this warm or chill it for iced tea.
Try a cup and if you like it you can make a large batch and keep it in the fridge to drink cold or heat up. I also found a plain ginger tea (no caffeine just ginger) in the organic section at a Wegmans. Don't know if they have those near you but a Whole Foods, Trader Joes, or any place with an organic section would probably have it.
Another option is to look for all natural ginger beer (it is not alcoholic) or ginger ale. I wouldn't bother with canada dry or any traditional brands - they usually don't have enough real ginger to make a difference. The good stuff with real ginger usually comes in 6 packs that look like beer.
Thank you, I will surely look for the ginger beer.
i am also 8 weeks and every day i fight the nausea as well.. its all day long and its a pain in the butt. this is also my first child and i agree its hard to enjoy the pregnancy. the only thing that helps me is ice cubes i chew and suck on them and it helps
I tried the ice thing too and nothing :(...nothing helps at all. At least my mind is at ease now because it turns out I'm pregnant with twins and that's why the nausea and tiredness are so bad. Hopefully it will stop soon....good luck to you. If u find something else that helps please let me know!!!
OMG! congratulations on having twins. God's blessings to you on this wonderful journey.
I hope I can be as lucky as you soon enough. I will be going in for U/S tomorrow to check if I have any follies after being on Follistim for about 6 days. If all goes well, I have E/R scheduled for 11/19.
I'm sure the feeling of being nauseas the entire day is exhausting, but from what I've heard, you gotta keep eating even if it comes right back out. Hope the side effects simmer :)
