Thanks everyone for the helpful words! I am lost and scared right now hope that we get this all lined out soon. We are to do the saline sono with my next period and depending on the results my obgyn said that she would send me straight to a fertility specialist.
Mine was uncomfortable during the the sono but not after that much. The whole thing isn't great, but you should be fine the next day. Just take that tylenol beforehand. It is good that you are looking into things now.
I'm surprised that they didn't give you a more informed explanation as to why you miscarried so long ionto your last pregnancy. If it was an incompetent cervix it could affect you in your next pregnancy. You should definitley make sure that your OBGYN stays ontop of it when you get pregnant again.
Good luck to you.
I have had several SIS's (saline induced sono) and I just take 600mg of Ibuprofen before hand. It can be uncomfortable sometimes, so I feel it's better to be safe then sorry. The fluid may be a fluke, it happened to me on my last fet cycle. It disappeared on it's own before transfer was done.
I hope they can find out what is going on with you soon!
I have been told that after the procedure is done that you get horrible cramping. I am very nervous to find out how bad my septum is. I also dont know if we should try getting pregnant again without surgical intervention due to us losing a baby previously. It scares me I dont want to get that far in a pregnancy again and have to suffer that pain all over again. But then there are the risk of surgery and it causing problems. I am so unsure at this point! If I only have one ovary does that mean my egg count is lower? Does anyone know how having one ovary effects ovulation?
the saline sonogram did not hurt a bit.
they pass a small catheter through your cervix and fill your uterus with saline while using an ultrasound on the outside to look at our uterus.
