Hi,

i have been goin there since april of this year. I had a great response to the meds we got 27 eggs we got 14 fertilized with icsi because we have male factor and 13 made it they were all grades 1 & 2 dr. cohen did the retrieval and the transfer we transfer two perfect grade 1 embies. BFN! so now we are going for FET. Cahara is great she worked my insurance and got me approval for up to 3 tries of fresh with a frozen alongside it. so the FET cost for 75% is $925.00 i know this because that is what she qouted me but my policy is different it covers more so thats why i pay less. Good luck! i also have been looking on the web about it and ive got mixed data. Dr . scholl says the success rate is less than fresh but was still very optimistic so we are going this month as soon as Af gets here. i have an appointment tomorrow with him before he goes on vaca. So hopefully we both will ahve success with FET.

go to www.arcfertility.com

I did the one-plus cycle. I get my meds from ivfmeds.com (Europe/Canada).  If I had gone through ARC for meds, I would have paid 3,000.  I paid less than 1,000.  I didn't even use half of my injections.  Dh and I have discussed blessing another patient at my doctors office with them.

What is ARC?  And, thanks for reminding me of this blessing during this time.  Although they don't cover it entirely and they probably won't agree to cover it the next time because of my high FSH, I do believe I was VERY lucky to have a go at it at least once.  I wish you all the best!!!

You guys are so blessed to have employers in NY that provide insurance for treatment.  I'm in Texas. Many employers in Texas shy away from infertility treatment.  My husband and I went thru ARC.  Thank God for them.

Thanks for the info!!!!!!!  I'll definately be thinking about you on the 20th and 21st.  The 20th is actually my anniversary!!!  Dr. Scholl is great-- he was wonderful to me during the IVF cycle as I saw him many times.  I'll let you know how my appt. goes and please tell me when you have a specific date-- I'll up the prayers!!!!!!!!  Have a super weekend!

Hi,

i was reading your earlier posts and i saw you asking questions about FET. i know they have natural which im doing with no meds maybe some progesterone supp and they monitor your cycle and ur lining until it would normally happen and they insert the eggs. then they have the controlled cycle where u are on meds and they control everything and insert the eggs. it all depends on ur AF cycle. ask DR. chu on tuesday when u see her.

HEY,

im going for the FET this month. as soon as Af gets here which should be around the 20th, 21st. im doing natural because i get regular periods. i saw Dr. chu once shes very nice. Hopefully they will accept that and ghi will auth it. they can be difficult but cahara was great! i met with him and he agreed to only thaw 2 eggs and transfer 2 and i signed something for that. Good luck to both of us i hope we both get great news this month!

So glad to hear you go to the same place!!!!  You sound like you have a great chance of success since they were able to retrieve so many follicles and so many fertilized.  Also, I think male factor issues are a bit easier to handle.  Unfortunately, I have a high FSH level, or actually a fluctuating level.  I am only 34 years old, but they discovered it's a genetic issue.  I was on the highest dosage of meds and was slow to respond.  In the end, Cohen retrieved 13 follicles, all 9 eggs contained fertilized.  Dr. Chu did my transfer of 3 embryos.  Unfortunately, she just said two were beautiful and 2 were pretty good-- I didn't know then about all these grades!!!!  We were optimistic, but none took.  I have a follow-up appt. with Chu on Tues.  My concern is the insurance-- I have GHI and they almost didn't cover me b/c of the high FSH.  I just happened to have had bloodwork done by another dr. that was normal.  Now, I'm not sure if they will still accept that for another fresh cycle.  Just have to wait and see.  Please keep in touch and let me know how you're doing.  How long after the failed IVF, can you do the frozen????  Thanks so much for the info.
