Anxious

Hi,
This is my first time logging in and posting a comment.  I just turn 33 (last week) and we did our first IVF with 2 grade 4 embryo transfer on day 3 last Tuesday (13OCT09).  It is encouraging to read the stories of other people experiencing the same emotions.  I can't wait for next Tuesday for our first beta check.  Ever since the transfer I have felt minor to mild intermittent cramping, but I was wondering if cramping that lasted approx 4 hrs (left lower side, yesterday) was normal.  I have been praying everyday at all times and I have faith in God that he will answer our prayers.  I was also wondering if it would be prudent to take a HPT or wait until next week for the blood test? I appreciate any info or advice.

Thanks for the prayer.  I defenitely believe that nothing can be accomplished without God.  No matter what the outcome I have all the faith.  No doubts that we will get pregnant and have a beautiful baby/babies.  I will keep all of you guys in my prayers.

Hi,

Thanks!

I think you tested it too early. Good luck for a positive result on 10/22.

Thanks.  It's hard to have patience when you've been waiting so long.  No bleeding or spotting which I'm very thankful for, just the mild cramping.  I will hold off on the HPT.  How many wks are you now? And how many babies? Best wishes for a healthy pregnancy to full term.

Hi,

Mild cramping is ok, as long as you dont spot or bleed is fine. I think your PT is on 10/27. It is too early to do the HPT, you wont see anything. Because some of the tests show positive only when the beta-HCG level is above 50 units. So wait until sunday, and do the HPT on sunday. But blood tests will give more accurate results. I did my HPT one day before my blood test, it came back positive i.e. 9 days after my transfer. Good luck!
