clomid day 3 HELP!!!!

I'VE BEEN TAKING CLOMID 2 50mg PILLS A DAY FOR 3 DAYS NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN I GETTING HEADACES, NAUSEA, DIZZNESS, AND HOT FLASHES IS THIS NORMAL? DOES THIS MEAN THAT THE PILLS ARE WORKING? DOES ANYONE KNOW SOMETHING TO TAKE THAT WILL HELP WITH THE HEADACE AND DIZZNESS?

I've been off the clomid for  a few days now and am still having awful headaches, lack of energy, cramps and irritability.  Has anyone experienced symptoms following the 5 days on clomid?   Is that normal?

anyone else turn in2 a raving nympho on clomid? my poor df is worn out! lol.  i was put straight on 2x50mg clomid days 3-7!  i am on cycle 5 now and around ov time now (cd17 according to ff)

clomid side effects are harsh but i am putting up with them just for the chance it may be successful for me

My headaches were horrible on clomid along with dizziness and mood swings. But after the pills are done you should start to feel better. I agree though if your DH's semen has slow motility then iui would be better. But do what ever feels right for you. Just remember when you do iui they are going to still put you on clomid so if you can't handle the side effects now then I wouldn't prolong it.

I'm also on Day 3 of 100mg of clomid (2 50mg pills per day), though I started out at 50mg & gradually moved up to 100.  Although I don't get hot flashes, etc., from what I've read, those side effects are normal.  I've also heard that you can get really bad mood swings.  The time you need to be worried is if you get blurred vision or see spots.  Just hang in there ! :)  Like 35momofboys said, just a few days to go!  I wish you lots of luck ! :)

I would definately take with your RE, b/c I know there is other meds out there that may not give you as much side effects.  I am just curious as to if they did another HSG to be certain that your tubes are opened & did not get blocked again somehow.  You shouldn't always do an HSG before each cycle, but I was wondering if you had one post surg.

Oh I am sorry you are experiencing the side effects of the medication.  Look at it this way, only a couple more days left.

I am taking 50 mg, and I have taken 3 days worth also.  I don't have any of the side effects (maybe a few slight hot flashes) except I am experiencing some bloating. Also, I take mine around 7pm so maybe I sleep through the "bad" part.  

I think the clomid is doing its job for me, because my temp has jumped up quite a bit, and I think that means it's raising my progesterone which has been borderline.  Come on follies, GROW GROW!!  I'm scheduled for Hsg on Tuesday then maybe IUI Friday (with trigger shot) Friday

I noticed (you said) your husband's motility is low, which means the IUI really might work better for you...  maybe give it a try next month?  Good Luck

THEY GAVE ME 2 50mg PERDAY FOR THE FIRST 5 DAYS. I THOUGHT THAT THEY USUALLY START OUT AT A LOWER DOSE, BUT I WASN'T SURE. MY STORY IS THAT I HAD A HSG DONE I FEBUARY AND BOTH TUBES WERE BLOCKED. I HAD SURGERY IN APRIL TO UNBLOCKED MY TUBES ALL WENT FINE. NOW WERE TTC ON CLOMID. MY HUSBAND SPERM COUNT IS HIGH, BUT IS MOLITIY IS SLOW. WERE  R GOING TO TRY CLOMID BEFORE JUMPING INTO IUI LIKE MY RE WANTED. HOPING IT WILL WORK. THE SIDE AFFECT ARE GETTING WORRISOME ITS HARD TO FOCUS AT WORK, HARD TO SLEEP, AND I LOST MY APPETITE. I JUST REALLY HOPE THAT I WILL WORK BECAUSE I CAN'T KEEP GOING THROUGH THIS CYCLE AFTER CYCLE.

Were you perscribed 2-50 ml pills?  So far it seems that you are having some of the side effects.  Usually, someone is perscribed 1-50 ml pill for 5 days first, but I don't know your extenuating circumstances.  It could simply be that the dose is too high. However, with any medication, there are always side effects.  If they become more worrisome, I would talk with your RE or OB/GYN.  Good luck & keep us posted!
