I have the painful lumps from the progesterone injections.

Ice before ... massage the sight after the injection which will help spread out the injection.  Ice after...massage again later.  Have dh or someone hold the syringe in their hand to warm up the oil.. it will inject easier.  Don't stick the same place, always look for a spot in the area that is not lumpy.  Alternate hips.

And remember, it's temporary and for the good of the baby.  It won't last.  But, your hips may hurt for a while after you are done.  That will ease long before the baby arrives.

Good luck!  I know they hurt.

I get those to. The best thing to do is massage the area before and after you take the shot. Alot of people numb it with ice also, but do not use heat on it. That will draw the progesterone out.
