How soon will the hcg trigger shot show on a hpt

How soon will the hcg trigger shot show on a hpt? I got my shot this morning and took a hpt around 2pm and it was neg. i was just wanting to know if this means that they didn't give me a large enough trigger shot?

Hi mums to be,I have being TTC for 6months naturally after missed miscarriage at 11weeks, so my gynea started with me like this, I took 100mg clomid on day 2 to 6, did US on day 12 got one dominant follicle 17.2 mm, the rest4 were less than 8mm,my gynea told me to come back on day CD15,on CD15 the follicle has reached 19.7mm, so he gave me 5000 unit hcg shot, I got BFN on CD25, may be I tested too early, is there still hope for my BFP. Am worried,

I've never tested that early...but I'm sure you got a regular dose, so I wouldn't worry about it. Best of luck this month!

hmmmm, I checked like 2 days after & it wasn't dark, it was very very light, as if I was pregnant & tested like 3 days early.  
But I did do an OPK & as I peed on it (TMI) it turned dark instantly, the darkest it had ever been.  Those pick up HCG also.
