Estrogen is the dominant hormone during the follicular stage and it's responsible for keeping your temps low. After o, the progesterone takes over and raises your temps. The corpus luteum does produce small amounts of estrogen along with large amts of progesterone. This estrogen it produces can cause dips in your temp as well as occasion patches of fertile looking cm. There's also always the possibility of an implantation dip, too :)
Thank you for the confidence boost! I'm not sure if the temping thing is good for me or not...it makes my moods go up and down. High temp=happy and low temp=upset....Plus last week I had to go to the RE sooooo early that I had to get up at 5 which has messed up my whole chart...and my dog was sick so a couple of nights I was in and out of emergency vet service half the night...AHHHH I hate this wait!
Thanks for looking at it...good luck to you!
It might just be a normal dip in temps. Last month you had a similar dip in temp, also on CD 5.
Maybe it's implantation--let's try to stay positive!
I had a weird dip at 5DPO this month, too. I'm only 9-10DPO right now so it's too soon to know for sure what it was!
