ICIS/IVF CYCLE OCT/NOV??? ADVICE??

Hi there ladies,

Well once again im looking for your guidance/storys and possibly a cycle buddy :)

For those of you that dont know me, iv had 2 miscarriages and 2 ectopic pregnancys (most recent m/c nov 2010) even though we have been trying i have not conceived since!
So..... my AMH is 6.5 and here we are starting out first cycle of ICIS, last month i had 11 follicles ((dont know if thats good or bad??)) no cysts,fibroids and everything else is perfectly healthy- Im 5ft5 weight approx 11.5 stone ((yes iv put a stone on :-( lol))
So.....
Started Buserelin 0.25ml daily about 6.15pm ((started the 6/10/2011)) i go for my bloods done on the 19th nov when they will tell me when to start Menopur ill be taking 300iu (( 4 menopur 2 liquids )) then its all go from there!!

Ohh also taking 5mg Folic Acid daily.

To be honest i dont know how i feel at the moment prob the norm of scared,nervous,and very hormonal LOL, Im more scared if it doesnt work to be honest we actually made a plan of not to tell anyone until we knew but typical me i couldnt keep it in now im nervous incase it doesnt work :-( probs my hormones are all over the show which doesnt help!

Would really apreciate some-one to talk 2 share experiences/fears ect ect and if any of you ladies have any tips for me theyd be really apreciated..

hi there.i hvnt checked on u in a long time..how hv u bn?i'd ask so many question bt i'd sound stupid...but before that..i hope some eggs did survive.I hv no idea how these things go.what happens after they retreve the eggs??i might need other choices..i hv a bad feeling i might not be pg...took a test tday 12dpo but was faulty(one line n the other side was just smudged),i hv to take another tmoro..whatever comes out i need to c my dr next week n c what next.will check out ur chart n c what's going on with u.x

Im really good thanks!! went for egg retreval today they collected 9 eggs so super happy with that number!! There going to ring me in the morning to let me know how many have made it overnight, so back to the waiting game we go!!

Have  they said why theyve given you a hcg shot? Well get BD girl :-)

Hi there?How r things..?Abt testing early am really gona try my best n not do it..unless my bb r very heavy coz that was the one thing that told me i was pg last time.I'll be lying if i said i can BD without thinking abt baby...even when i've just finished my AF.
I went for folli le check tday and the lady tech told me it looked like i took clomid or somethin..i had quite a few eggs waiting to pop n some had passed the popping size..so i got an HCG shot...What sh'd i expect?

Hey,

The biggest mistae u can make is testing early, been there done that i even started testing at 8days then twice a day until af was due, i think to be honest it puts a big dampner on things and im also a firm believer in if you want something to happen your body will do the complete oposite, If your not carefull TTC can and will take over and BD will become more routine than enjoyment, Thats why i gave this site a wide birth for a while i thought it was taking over and everymonth i would be upset for days when AF came and went and everyone around me was getting prego :-(
Clomid- i have quite alot of experience with Clomid, Iv always ovulated on my own but some months i wouldnt have AF for like 3-4 months others would be a 40day cycle then 28 was really erratic so doc suggested to put me on Clomid not to conceive per se (although its obviously what we wanted) but more to even out my cycles and it really did just that it was brilliant! I conceived 1st cycle unfortunatly had a ectopic (2nd ectopic) the only thing i found with Clomid that was bad was weight gain i was literally hungry constantly and ended up putting a stone on but im now working to shift it!
But Clomid if your doc monitors you properly can be brilliant, Metformin is also suppost to work hand in hand with Clomid for ovulation.

Hi Amy,Babyhope..This is my 1st time ttc with all the information...normally i get my period then start guessing when i ovulate...maybe miss the days that i really need to bd!This time i went for follicle check..which told me exactly when it was to pop,went back 3 days later n i had ovulated..so based on that we bd 2days b4 the egg was out n mr left for work for 10days..Am afraid hving the information doesnt make it easier on me...AF due sat-sun...taken 2test already n ofcoz negatives.am almost giving up on this month.This hve bn the longest 12days of my life i believe.Now i hve to google on ovarian reserve before i even ask...but i wish u the best of everything.Is it safe for me to use clomid even if i ovulate on my own?

Hi ladies..

well went today for bloods, was told to start Menopur tomorrow and next bloodtest 25.10. Also noticed my FSH levels based on last month day 3 were 5.3 not really too sure if thats good or bad trying to do a little research.Also had 5 follicles on my left and 8 on my right.Hoping now for lots of good quality eggs! super excited!

Mleo- hows your 2ww going?whens af due? aww hope you get that BFP

Im dreading when we have the eggs put back and i have to endure that 2ww atleast at the mo iv got things to take my mind off it :-)

Babyhope- did you try the acupuncture then?How did you find it? A friend of mine also suggested reflexology to be honest in the past iv spent  fortune on all these miracle baby drugs and the only one i ever conceived off 1st time was clomid but unfortunatly turned out to be ectopic. :-(

Hey Amy,

my ovarian reserve is low. FSH 10.8 and AMH 0.46, AMH should be a minimum of 1 and above. so its both male and femal fertility issues for us. and i went to accupuncturist too. He wanted me to go there during stims twice a week and its $90 for me too :(. I am on vitmina D supplements along with pre natal vitamins. Based on your age and ovarian reserve, am sure you will produce good number of eggs with good quality. so that should be fine. you sound really positive and happy attitude. wish to continue the same althrough and keep happy and stress free.

Thanks so much for the replys was starting to loose hope of someone to talk to thats why iv not been on in a few days!

Mleo- That 2WW is a killer isnt it, i prayed every month for AF not to arrive but here i am wishing her to come! was due 15/10 done 2 tests willing that second line not to appear and thankgod had negatives so far, my understanding is if i do get a pos now as the injections are shutting my overies down there would be no progestorone to help baby grow so would be a waste, i have to notify hosp weds if af is still no show. :( aww im crossing my fingers you get a BFP it would make that 2WW soo much worth it!!

Babyhope- Thanks aswell for your comment, Aww sorry about the chemical pregnancy must have been hard to deal with ICSI (i know i spelt it wrong in my post lol) is a big deal, Im really only at the very beginning but just the hope of what it may turn into is keeping me going at the moment, Im hormonal my face has come out in big spots but lets hope its worth it! What is your ovarian reserve if you dont mind me asking? Mine was 13.4 last year and 6.5 about a month ago and was told that was poor and to start treatment right away as if it fell below 2 they wouldnt treat me. How many eggs did u get on your last cycle? I have no idea what to expect at all, but because of my age (26 on tues) if i get 3 or more i will have 1 put back at a time but if i only get 2 i get a choice which my choice (at the moment) is i want 1 at a time.

Well im starting acupuncture on thurs at a whopping £52 a session but iv heard it helps so worth a go right? if i dont get a baby i want a refund lol.

Amy, am with you. Had done ICSI IVF in september and ended as chemical. That was devastating. Now am on DHEA and will start next cycle in november, so my ET will be december. thats the plan for now. Got to wait and watch how it goes. am taking wheat grass, royal jelly too. thinking my egg quality will improve. i have poor ovarian reserve, am 33. DH sperm total non-motile.

Hi.am so new to this i might not help much but support i can do.sorry abt the m/c's n ectopics.I hv had a 1 m/c in 2005,had a miracle baby(that'what i call him) last year,had a lap for ovarian cyst last month n am now in 2ww n going cazy!Stay positive...this will be the sticky one!!!
