I had one and bit ovaries removed when I was 28.  I had one son before that who is now 17!  I am now 42 and want to have another (pre menopausal panic I guess some people might say).  Am I away with the fairies or is it possible? Is there anyone else in similar situ?

I am also on medication for adult acne - I know I have to stop them before considering becoming pregnant but how long does it take for them to get out the system!  I know I will have to visit my GP but in the meantime it helps to chat to others who may be in similar situation!

There is someone on the maternal forum, I can't remember her name that is pg 2 or 3 most after. Also, someone on the women's forum. It wasn't that long ago. You might be able to find them in a search. Wish I could help more.

I had an ovary removed two years ago.  I haven't had any luck in conceiving but I'm also 41 - I don't know how old you are.  I don't really know if this helps but my GYN told me that the ovary left will ovulate every month.  I do ovulate - I used the tests and can actually feel ovulation pains but still no luck.  I wish you all the best in your TTC - super sticky baby dust to you!! :)

I dont really know.  But I have heard it cuts your chances in half.  So if the odds for two healthy "normal" people are 20% each month then I would think you would have a 10% chance each month.

Then again I really have no idea what I am talking about...... sorry
