IUI Two Week Waiters!

Wow! All of your responses to my first iui post has been so great and I now realize that many of us are going through iui or doing it the first time.  So, I thought it would be a great  idea to start a new thread so we can all share during this  exciting, maybe agonizing tww!  If anyone has symptoms or questions for each other, this would be a great place to talk about them! I know its good for me to see how other people in my situation are doing!  

For me: 2ww starts today and I have zero symptoms. =)

all your responses are so great to read! I am new to this whole thing, including IUI. Just had my first one done 2 weeks ago. was on 50 mg of clomid and my day 22 progesterone test was at a 67. I was told that was high (don't know if it was good though) and now I am playing a waiting game. reading into everything my body is doing....sore nipples, peeing every hour, and always tired. I think i am just so eager after trying naturally for 3 years! any advice?

hmm..I'm trying to remember...I think I did 2mL and after I mixed it with the powder, I drew up everything and injected myself.  You should really check with your dr or some kind of nurses triage if you are unsure.  Better safe than sorry.  Sometimes people have different protocol...good luck

Does anyone know how to mix the hcg??  I have the 10,000 unit power with a vial of the mixing solution and think it is 2mL...additionally, how much is actually drawn up in the syringe and injected??  HELP

I'm so sorry to hear of your news!  I'm in the tww again because my first iui failed.  Bummer.  Lets hope for BFPs next time. Don't worry-you're still young!  =)

July 28th was my end of tww, negative. :-(  This was my second Clomid/IUI cycle. I'll be going in tomorrow for a baseline U/S and will start Clomid again on Thurs. DH and I have been ttc for 6 years now, I'm 31 and feel like I'm running out of time. I'm estimating my tww will start again on the 14th but I'll just have to wait and see.

four more days! yea-you're almost done!  I can't wait until you test. =)  Today I have some on and off cramping and minor lower back pain. I thought I was unusually hungry until my DH just said he was really hungry too. Hmm.  I'm only 5dpiui.

No, no symptoms...I never really have any, especially since I started go to the acupuncturist.  I don't even get AF symptoms anymore, not even a headache.  If AF is going to come she will come before my 2ww is up.  If she comes she comes...if not then I will test this Thursday.  I'm 10dpiui...4 more days to go, woohooo hoping I won't need that lap ;-)

How are you feeling?  any symptoms?

Michelle: I had a lap done because last Oct. my HSG showed a partial blockage in my left tube. I changed REs and my new RE wanted to do a lap right away to see if we could fix it and do IUIs instead of IVF. Well, when he went in, the tubes were both clear and beautiful! I don't have endo so I had no cramping or pain after the lap.   How are you doing by the way? Have you had implantation bleeding yet?  Any new symptoms?

Why did you have your lap done?  My dr. thinks I may have endometriosis, he doesn't think my tubes are blocked and he did not do the HSG test.  I think the lap will cover it all...if I have endo he will clean it out, if tubes are blocked or twisted he can fix them, and he said he can make the opening to my cervix bigger since it barely opens now.  He has to pry it open to get the catherter in to perform the IUI...gross TMI!!!!

OK, let's stay calm together.  I too had my trigger on Tues and iui on wed.  I think the implantation takes place about four days after the fertilization ( which can take 48 hours).    You should go to you tube and type in conception. it helped me alot! I know i took biology in highschool but that was over 10 years ago! lol!

Me to. I had my IUI on July 9 and 2ww begins, I am trying to stay calm and not obsess much that is what I did last month and BFN! So I am trying t o be mild and not hype about. I dont feel anythingm when does implanation take place after the IUI? I had my HCG shot on tuesday and wednesday I had the IUI.. I am so confused.. Good luck to you all

AF Showed today. Just wanted to thank all who prayed this month. We are going to be starting IVF. I am totally scared and don't know much about the proceedure. I am meeting with the doctor next monday to discuss. Any advice? Questions I should ask etc. let me know. Thanks again to all who kept fingers crossed. I am still holding hope for each one of you...good luck!!

No, I didn't take meds, just clomid days 3-7-well and the trigger. I keep thinking about POI shots-thats what I took when I did IVF.   So you are 19dpiui.  Well, I hope you get your BFP.  Maybe it will just show up in the blood test. I've heard of that before.

Thanks! I hope this is it too!  But I don't want to get my hopes up too high yet - I keep getting bfn every morning - and that's not encouraging at all.  But at least AF is staying away!  I'm not exactly sure what prometrium does - but I know it's basically progesterone and that does something good for the uterine lining.  I took it for a week and a half after iui.  Did you any meds?

i come in here too..as me too IUI 2ww....its 12DPIUI and my HPT on 10DPIUI was bfn..have severely sore bbs, abdominal cramping and back aches.. i guess frequent urination is decreasing though...or really dont know....just cant wait...

28yrs of age/married for 3yrs and ttc naturally/first cycle of IUI
CD2 - clomid for five days started
cd6,7,8,9 - HMG shots
CD10-HCG shot
CD11 and CD12 - IUI

Its my 12DPIUI today....

Yeah, I could go now, but I'm thinking of waiting at least 5 days after my missed period.  It still could be a late AF - although I hope not!!  I took prometrium tablets during this second iui, so I'm thinking maybe the drugs did something screwy w/my cycle?  I just want to be fairly sure before I get yet another negative - hate those!

Hi all - I'm 18dpiui. I expected AF on tuesday and still no sign!  bbs slightly sore, but other than that, no symptoms.  I've done too many hpt in the past several days, the last one was this morning & all neg.  I'm so confused, it's making my head spin. This is my 2nd iui - hope this one is it!  Good luck to everyone!

Jennyfer- Wow! Good luck! So you are waiting it out to see if AF comes? That is what I'm planning on doing but it is only 1 day past IUI so I don't know if I'll last! =)

Michelle- I hope the third time is the charm for you and jennyfer.  I had a lap done on June 11 and it really wasn't bad at all!  Has your RE done an HSG?

Awh I know its a long 2ww this time. Almost over. No hpt's this month, just waiting it out. iv'e had so much disappointment already, never ever got a bfp so I'm not gonna bother unless af is late. good luck to you, any symptoms?

You're not alone...I am also on my 3rd IUI, 6dpiui in fact.  I'm hoping the 3rd time is the charm as well :-)  My dr. says that if this cycle does not work, then he wants to do a laparoscopy to see what's going on in there.  I'm definately hoping this one works cause I really don't want to have surgery.

Did you take any HPT's yet?  or do you wait to see if AF comes?
