It really didn't feel like much at all. The feeling of air that you are talking about, was it a little cool. Maybe the coolness of the fluid going in. Seems like I might have felt something like that before, but not every time. Really it doesn't feel like anything. The catheter that they use is very thin and because it is done during the time of ovulation, your cervix is open. You really shouldn't feel much if anything.
The wait is very difficult. You can use early home pregnancy test as soon as 10 days after the IUI. Good luck to you. I hope you get a BFP. Please post and let us know how it goes.
Congrats to you on the son and your future baby!
thanks for your response; you give me hope. your husband and your parents must be soo happy too, as you've given them a family and grandchild(ren).
can you please advise how your IUI's felt? for ex., I felt the clamp going in me in both IUI's; however, on the 1st one, it felt like a straw was blowing air in me. the 2nd IUI didn't feel like anything at all. I had my 2nd IUI done for about 4 days already, and am scheduled for a blood test in about 10 more days, so the wait is excrutiating. I'm trying to feel signs of implantation. all I feel is occasional cramp on my side but that's how I felt the past 8 mo's whenI thought I might be pregnant.
thank you so much for you feedback :)
Yes, that sounds a bit paranoid. If you feel that way about your dr, you should find one that you trust.
My son was conceived with IUI, and I am currently pg again. With my son I got pg on the 3rd IUI and this time it was the 4th. I don't believe my dr in anyway sabotaged my IUIs for personal financial gain. I think there are enough people out there seeking fertility assistance without have to do criminal activity.
Best of luck to you.
