I called the docs office again and the doctor visits the city i live in (her main office is an hour away) once a month and the soonest i can get in is February 10. So i am super excited. Any questions i should ask
Ok thanks ladies. I did call the docs office and the soonest i can get into her for a consultation is in April!! so that would put us doing IVF in June which is only two months before we go to Florida and i dont want to fly right after if i get pregnant. So i think we will be shotting for Aug, Sept for IVF. Im ok with this though maybe by then we will have Logan in preschool and wont have to find a sitter for him:) I am going to call again and talk to the nurse about all that cause hubby will get sign up for that time off in January so i will need to know:) THanks!
Good luck. I think most offices have a set schedule for the IVF - has to do with their own timing and coordination on tests, labs, and sonogram time along with their other non-IVF patients. I think if you call, you might be given a decent timeframe to manage the schedules.
Good LUCK! We are going for our second attempt in November (sort of - first attempt cancelled due to my reaction to the drugs . . . )
Good luck amanda! am so excited for you! IF we end up doing IVF (if heaven rains down some money!) it won't be until the summer, so you can be my expert on it :) I am praying for ya girly girl!!

This depends on your clinic. My doc did not care which week you start but you had to start on Thursday. Some clinics start ivf only on certain weeks of the month. Also note that you cannot control how long you need to stim since you don't know how well you will respond to the protocol. I had my retrieval 2 days before the estimate while some ladies may stim an extra week if e2 is slow to rise.
Thanks I will call. Anyone else?
My RE's office only does IVFs during one week of each month. So, basically, they control your cycle with meds in order to fit you into that week. Hope that makes sense. I'd suggest calling to schedule at least a couple of months in advance-there is a lot of testing/monitering that has to be done before IVF, time to order meds, lots of forms to be filled out and notarized, etc.
good luck
