11 follicles and not pregnant

Hi! This is my first time here. I was hoping to chat to anyone in a similar situation, or if you have been in a similar situation to me before.
We have been trying for bub #3 for a little over 4 yrs. We have tried IVF, Magic Medicine women, accupuncture....the list goes on.
We have just tried with Clomid and Ovidrel trigger for the first time. I was pleasently surprised when I found out I had 11 good size follicles. My Dr however was concerned we were going to have multiple pregnancies - and after a long discussion with him we decided to go ahead and try anyway. Surely out of the 11 one would work...right? Wrong.

So today I go to comid again, I am not shattered that it didnt work first time with Clomid, but I am disappointed that we got our hopes up, especially having 11 follicles.

Has anyone any advice? Besides de-stress, eat healthy, excercise, be patient etc etc !

Has anyone been in the same situation??

I had 2 large and 3 smaler follicles...and its my 12dpiui.  Still waiting for that sign...hope its positive.  I have been trying natually for 4 years and finally doc suggested IVF.  and was prescribed a follicular study prior to the IVF as the doc was nto sure aboutthe quality of my eggs.  But this new doctor who was doing my follicular study thought it woul dbe worthwihile doing an IUI prior to moving to IVF.  

The hormononal high and low is not doing me any good..mood swings are unbelievable..and all my signs are as if i will be having my periods..still there is a little hope...

Hi again! Its amazing how pregnancy and birth are meant to be one of the most natural things in the world, yet everyone I speak to knows someone with fertility issues.

It would be difficult for you having 3 babies so easily and now this struggle. How does your hubby cope?

Mine is very disappointed this month, given there were 11 and all. I have flipped myself around to be postive for this coming month, he doesnt do this so easily. Well....I dont do it easily, and I had to do it within a day but....... I just do it because I know being down and flat and sad about last month isnt going to add to the wonderful happy environment a baby wants to be born into.

We did accupuncture and as crazy as it sounds I saw a chiropractor for months. We tried chinese herbs off a "baby maker" for 12months, we have majorly changed our diets.....i even bought african fertility dolls !!!!! LOL !!!!!! I am prepared to try anything !!!!!!

I am staying positive, and I am sending positive thoughts for you also. The 2ww is a nightmare hey....they tell you not to think about it.....but how can you.......this is your life, your homes and dreams that we are talking about..........

Well, I have 3 kids all first time "lets see if we get pregnant this month..intercourse on days 10, 12 & 14 & all 3x's got BFP's!  BUT I was 26, 28, & almost 32.
Had 3 mc's, 2 in the past year, 1 was a BO & my one in Feb. was a missed mc @ 11 weeks. I also had Lap done in Nov. due to an endo cyst in my ovary & they had to take my left ovary & tube out. & w/my last mc I had to have a DnC!!!
So I have been on Gonal-F 150 for now 2 cycles & I am on 9DPO...so I am PACIENTLY (not really!) waiting!
My hubby's sperm count is excellent 54 mil & 41 mil post 2 wash's, & this month I did 2 IUI's pre &post O
I also did acupuncture on CD6 & CD10 right before first IUI.
Like you guys, I'm/we are healthy non drinkers/smokers I don't even take tylenol LOL!
BUT I turned 40 this June & even though I don't feel OLD maybe I am!!!! hahaha
My O reserve is really good according to my RE, he told me a few months ago it's like a woman around 32 or so.......so IDK!
At times I totally feel like I am for sure pregnant this month, & then I'm like..nope AF is coming!  SO FRUSTRATING!  I don't think I'll do meds next cycle if I don't get pg.....not quite sure, but I will keep doing acupuncture, I think alternative meds are something that can really help.

Hi! Thanks so much for your reply.

Laparoscopy etc was done in June this year. All perfect! Hubbys sperm above normal! We are doing everything "right" and it feels like it is the "right"time, but I guess these things are somehow out of our hands.
We both dont eat wheat, or drink, not over/underweight and lead reasonably stress free lives (besides when its time to get my Ps!)
I know I am blessed to have 2 gorgoues girls (through IVF) but something it telling me now that all our health issues are out of the way that we CAN and we WILL do it naturally. The follicles were all 18-22. I kept thinking surely out of 11 one would have to take !!

I beleive alot in positive thinking, but I tell you, its hard to keep positive after so many years.

Im sorry to hear of your struggles also. Are you using clomid? How long have you been tryng for?

I keep telling myself that each month it doesnt work I am just one month closer to the day it will.

    That really STINKS! :{  I sure didn't have 11 follies last month, but I had 3 measuring on my trigger day 19, 21 & 21 all in my right ovary, & they all probably grew at least 2 ml by the time I O'd & I STILL can't believe I didn't get pregnant!  
Anyway, do you know what size your follies were? & is there a possibility your tubes are maybe blocked?
Thats very frustrating to have 11 & not get pregnant!!!

Also, has your hubby's sperm been counted?  That could be something to look into if it hasn't been done in a while????
