EARLY OVULATION ANYONE?

Hi Ladies,

I started have mid cycle spotting/bleeding on CD 16 associated with dull cramping, the next day the spotting became a little heavier and more of a scanty reddish brown color throughout the entire day and then today it went back to brown and spotting.

My previous cycle in October was only 23 days long. I started my cycle on 10/8 and again on 10/31.

The first day of my last period was 10/31. Based on a 23 day cycle, I would have ovulated on CD 10. So if this next cycle was to indeed be a 23 day cycle then I would have ovulated on 11/9/11, which means implantation bleeding occurring on 11/15/11 would be perfect timing right?

I have read of women ovulating a couple of days after their period ending ... and conceiving. I am beginning to believe that I am in that category. Specially since my cycles are so irregular.

If anyone has any input or can relate, please feel free to comment. I have NEVER had mid cycle bleeding like this. I have an ultrasound appointment on 11/25/11.

Hello,

Thank you so much for your input on my situation. It definitely helps a lot. My doctor had me take an HCG blood test the first day of my spotting on 11/15 and it came back negative. I would think it would be too soon to take a blood test if the baby was barely implanting, correct? When I think of ovulation bleeding, I think of 1 day spotting, not a couple of days of brown spotting. My doctor says I am having non-ovulatory bleeding. But I just don't see that being true. I have been irregular since I can remember and I have never had this mid cycle spotting. Plus, I know my body very well. There was only one other time and that is when I was on Clomid and it was light pink spotting that only last an evening and only when I wiped and I truly believe it was because of ovulation but we also discovered a polyp and I had it removed 8/1. I have not been on Clomid since May.

I am thinking of testing on the 24th because I should start my cycle by then.I will definitely keep you posted.

Hello,
The mid cyclic spotting can be due to  implantation bleeding or spotting can also occur midcycle at ovulation. If you miss your periods then you can test 1 week- 10 days after you miss your periods or you can test for pregnancy by a highly sensitive pregnancy test 10 days post ovulation with a sensitive ( 20 - 25 mIU ) pregnancy test. Also I would suggest you to get your serum HCG levels estimated since this is more specific than urine for pregnancy tests. The HCG (it is a hormone) levels rise only in pregnancy and its presence will confirm the status of your pregnancy.

I hope it helps. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
